Have to get one soon too!
But: if you'd put it in the middle of a chain it's gonna blow up everything behind it, wouldn't it? hmmm...

Is the Blowing Up anything like a Walco chord and note sustainer? I'm a little scarred after damaging a couple of amps with the Walco...

This just sounds so cool, considering I only use boost pedals to hammer the front end of my amp.

L, seriously, I want to see what happens when you stack two of them together. Then throw them in the loop of a CHK CHK BOOM or an Utter Stutter.
i can make a demo vid of this. what would you like to hear? how blowing up sounds when it's distorted? because a blowing up into a blowing up will not double the output but will distort blowing up. the output might rise a bit, depending on what the input is.

Soonish.
Are they going to be like other standard ohnoho stuff where the graphics change?
of course! that's my M.O.

I like your prototype graphics though. "Blowing up your spot"...I hate when my spot gets blowing-ed up.
i went through a few different name ideas for this. the first one and the one i liked the most was "blow your shit up". something in my head made me thing i would regret it later. 2nd was "blowin' up your spot". i wanted to get dr. dre and ed lover from yo! mtv raps to host the demo video. i thought that could be kind of awesome. but i don't know them. or anyone that knows them. and those guys probably don't work for free.

yeah, maybe. it's depends whats next in the chain. if you hit something that does not have a high headroom the signal will hit a brick wall there and not blow up stuff following it in the signal chain. imagine a pipe with a small kink in it. blowing up boosts the water pressure but once it hits that kink the water pressure won't magically come back up. that small kink however is where you get your input distortion.

haven't played or built one of these. from experience most sustainers are compressors. you actually blew something up? do tell. what happened?

me too. it's my favorite kind of distortion for chord strummin'. when everything is pushed to the limit = amp, speakers, ears, room, microphones. that's when it sounds awesome.

Alright, so who's making the nerds half one flavor, half another, pedal? (a la 2 pedals in one)

For me, it's just pushed it down a bit on my great big list of crap to buy. I'll still buy it, just not as soon.
