Feedback is half the fun... :erm: Turn the sustain down?

yes...feedback could be a pick up problem but you can usually tell the difference. however cheaper pickups will have a problem that obviously gets compounded by gain.
i have a problem with the pick ups themselves vibrating/rumbling due to the gain. in those cases i have to put foam under the pick up, screw the pick up into the body or if in a hurry just gaff tape

i disagree. it depends on how you set your gear up. i can have a DF and KP both on, the guitar up full with hands muting the strings and get no feedback.

it takes alot of tweaking to get it right and pedals react differently from amp to amp. the pedals that sound great with my marshall plexi sound totally different through my bassman, or selmer, or vox...or whatever.

Bang the gain on the muff back to 70% or so and that'll help. No need to crank those things.
Try a MkI Tonebender too. Much more articulate than a muff (and I love muffs) and play well with others.
Skinpimp's is really good.

i'd also like to hear someone weigh in on the fuzz god thing.

i have a triangle muff clone that works really well in a live setting, and when i still had one the SM does really well.

I'm not saying they always will, depending on settings any fuzz will feedback of course you can set it not to. Even the US.

I gotta say, I love the Fuz God. Also, Swollen Pickles are better for live stuff than Big Muffs, in my expirience.

I just got a Fuzz God II. It's awesome. Plenty of crazy oscillations, but capable of normal fuzzes too, just what I was looking for.

The Goose is the same kinda pedal as the Fuzz God II.
But the WC cuts through the mix like it's nobody's business. True story.
Mostly on leads though, when ya crank the fuzz hard it doesn't take chords well.

Try moving your pedal board, and where you stand. Believe it or not this will help with the feedback.

When you find the spot where every thing is working, and just moving a foot or so will throw it into uncontrollable feed back you are entering nirvana.

Or just cut the volume back.
