I just got it. My Orange loves it.

I would totally buy more of them if someone would see fit to reissue it

I want a Dirty Chan/Ass Raping Chan. That would be amazing! Just the Dirty Chan going into a real gritty, sloppy OD.

Hey. I have a actually interesting question...... to me....
Do the Hi Five or the Singing Tree get anywhere near the same voicing as the Chan Chan? Are they as bass friendly? I used it with my 400+, many things fell off of things... people complained.... It was blissful.....
The actual sound of the Dirty Chan Clean Chan is just over the top, it blows every other OD I have out of the water! I love it.... but..... I would kind'a.... sort'a.... like a.... master volume control....

I dunno about the Singing Tree or the Hi5, since I don't own them but I think the idea with the CC/DC is that it should be a part of your rig, as much as your guitar and amp are. Set it and forget it, type thing. A master volume control would kinda defeat the purpose, in my opinion.

The clean chan dirty chan are two high five pluses in one box with preset gain and adjustable volume via the trim-pots. The new high fives are pretty well a version of the clean chan dirty chan, both channels are on at the same time, I'm not sure how the gain is set though.
So, yeah. The high five would get you really close to the sound of a cc/dc. So if you want a cc/dc with a master volume control you could get one of the new high fives, mod it to the specs of a cc/dc and install a master control, or you could even set the gain even higher and forget putting in any kind of volume control and use it to destroy the audience with massive amounts of bass

Yeah, but then you don't get the labels that look like...

Is true... I will admit that a part of the reason for buying mine was fueled by the power of moe........

What can I say.....
But I have a funny idea... get two Hi fives... and put them in one box....

I now have a Hi five. answer: No it does not sound the same. The current [at least] Hi Five is very transparent and adds this wonderful grit to your sound without actually changing it much at all. Killer pedal. But Not a DC/CC. The DC side is furrier and a little fuzzier and adds a bit more thickness.
I guess my choices are to wait for the Electric Apples to ripen and in the meantime keep a eye out for a Hi five plus [just to see..]
Still the Hi Five is on my board and I like it much.
