Greg is an A+ nice guy. excellent pedal builder. & local
I have a custom one off ram's head muff that he made.
Excellent pedal!
but my favorite pedal (also built by a local) is the StereoScope Harmonic Overdriver MkIII

http://news.harmony-central.com/Product ... MkIII.html
Also the nicest pedal builder I've ever met & the only guy i'd lend any of my gear at any time.
not effect pedals, but utility pedals made by http://this1smyne.com/pedals.html are essential
affordable blender pedals
affordable flip floppers
affordable mini buffers... everything is build quality. and he'll custom build anything you ask.
now posting as Forrrest.

Here's another couple
Not sure how well known this is, but it's one of my favourite fuzzes. Pretty rare though.
Sam Ash Fuzzz Boxx / Astrotone Fuzz
How about Guild Foxey Ladies?
I think I was actually talking to the guy I bought my amp from about both these pedals. Weird. He really liked/recommended the Foxey Lady.
Hmm...The guy I bought it from was named Kaz...and he was Japanese...and he was selling it for super cheap...
NewarkWilder wrote:so the sobbat is good ehh? i've almost picked one of their pedals up a couple times. gotta love those graphics.
I really like it. It's super high gain, but super smooth. Plays nice with other pedals, and is an absolute whore with modulation. Aaaand it make the Shoegazer you sold me sound like straight up white noise.
I've been trying to find more of their stuff for cheap (I was spoiled by the deal I got on mine), but alas they're always $150+...

I'll see if I can find a picture, but at Warped Tour '98, Eric Melvin of NOFX had a giant pedal called The Melvinator. I was instantly jealous...

People have heard of it, but it isn't exactly common. Sounds terrible alone, but absolutely KILLS BUGS DEAD in a mix. Amazing pedal. I should have kept the original, but eh, they sound identical and I was broke at the time. It happens.

Here's another couple of pretty unusual pedals
v1 Bad Stone -- I've seen lots of v2s and v2s in the same mummy face box, but not many of these
PNP Ram's Head Big Muff w/ 2N5087s -- not many of these around, most are NPN FS36999/2N5133 (early) or BC239C (later)
