wow, when i saw the thread title i almost shit, this place just gets cooler.... love that everyone has mentioned a lot of my favorites, even the avant garde stuff....

ILF forever....

and Miles and Coltrane Live in Amsterdam is one of the greatest live albums i've ever heard in my life....

I just picked up Uri Caine's Bedrock album on a recommendation, and I have to say that it is some of the best damn electro-jazz I have ever heard. The bass playing is head-spinningly good.
