i don't think Do Make Say Think is post-rock necessarily but i could see someone playing that w/ other post-rock stuff & it not really sounding out of place.

anyway. i am now trying to figure out why i started this thread in the first place. i could have just as easily just persued afterthepostrock or something for info. 2010 i just need to stop being so implusive & switch to decaf & just chillax.

peace.

:)

definitely not post rock, but we were starting to enter constellation records collective. It's that kinda music I got my post-rock influence from though.

DMST's latest album is really good for people that don't necessarily enjoy the "generic" post rock, and is also really good for those that do too. "Other Truths" is equally as good as "The Landlord is Dead" and "& Yet & Yet."

Also, The Mercury Program's "Chez Viking" is a great listen from 2009, as well as From Monument to Masses "On Little Known Frequencies." I could name countless other great releases from 2009, but the list goes on and on.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we have Ross from Canyons of Static here as well, so that's pretty awesome.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

Russian Circles and The Red Sparrowes are two of my favourite bands. Along with Siqur Ros, God Is An Astronaut, G,Y!BE, etc.

Explosions is pretty stale, though. I get kinda bored listening to them.

lol i love how this thread turned from a godspeed love, all other post-rock dislike fest to a post-rock appreesh thread. I dunno though, i seem to be different with you guys when it comes to eits. i can listen to their stuff all day and not get bored, especially the earth is not a cold dead place. i saw russian circles not too long ago and actually left halfway through their set cause i was so bored. their newer stuff is getting too generic for my tastes, i liked them better when they just had enter and that upper ninety ep.

Have you ever visited H2T? If so, I am extremely jealous.
