I use a Bluebeard Fuzz, which is marketed as a bass pedal, but it's really just a modified BigMuff clone...so I guess that's grey area.

All I know, Mark0matic, is that YOUR AVATAR RULES!!!!!!!! :thumb: :thumb: I would not be a musician today if not for that man.

Thanks sev - RN is THE MAN!!

I almost pulled the trigger on a DE Super Black Hole a couple of weeks ago but wasn't sure about the whole "bass pedal" thing - now I'm a little bummed after hearing from some of you...

Let's keep it going - lots of good suggestions coming! :thumb:

Nychthemeron, god you were so right. That was in fact what i was gonna suggest. The Megalith by Mountainking Electronics.

I mean if you're going to go for doomy fuzz, why not buy a pedal built SPECIFICALLY for doom gods like Scott Kelly (Neurosis) and Al Cisernos (Sleep & Om)

it's around 250, but I have some Mountainking Stuff, and i LOVE it.

Like Jrmy said, the Catalinbread SFT is a pedal i'm gassin' hard for, it sounds like the end of the world.

Devi Ever Cherry Pop... i wish i could find one :(

and finally, the Malekko B:Assmaster Germanium, which get's you in the Vein of Electric Wizard.

Actually, Jus from Electric Wizard used strictly a Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz on most of the earlier records, and i have one of those, and i have to say it's fucking crazy awesome.

Wizard - you hit the nail on the head as far as the fuzz sound I'm looking for. Don't know if the rest of my band wants to hear that but I definitely do, even if it's just at home!!

I checked out a demo of the Megalith and it sounds fantastic, but is too much for my budget right now. I'll have to keep on the lookout for a used one, along with the Catalinbread SFT and Devi Ever Cherry Pop if they're in the same catagory.

+1 on the Malekko Barker Assmaster. Great pedal.
