Isn't that based on ubuntu which is based on debian?

Mint is based on Ubuntu, but comes with most codecs etc already installed
i dualboot with Mint and Ubuntustudio

Or install Gentoo ... then we'll never hear from you again as you'll be too busy compiling and you'll never get your network up anyway
