I'd have to say mellowtone or devi. Although Dwarfcraft pedals are a bit higher on the price end they come with a lot of options to sculpt your sound.
As far as mass produced, ehx is a good one, if it wasn't for the blue box my entire pedalboard would be ehx and ILF.

Oh wasn’t aware that Biyang did that so they are off my list.
First post was for cheap non fuzz thingies.
In the world of fuzz nobody beats the ILF builders for quality, tone, features, service and FUN.

So is the waiting period for them to be released.
I keed, I keed.
Also, some of the cheaper EHX stuff is brilliant. Devi's and Mellowtone's stuff is awesome for the price point though, and of course Fuzzhugger(fx) is freaking awesome. I just need to actually get some of their stuff.

honestly the Blue Box is perfect I've tried alternatives and they aren't as smooth as the blue box. Not to mention it creates tremolo synth tones paired with an OK.

and they should! they invented the fucking Big Muff Pi
personally I preferred the Violet Rams head incarnation which had a more scooped mids sound to it and a bit more gain on tap, don't give up on them yet.
I agree on the Violet Ram's Head.
By the way, here is a Big Muff reference page I did if anyone needs it:

I think supplies of those FS36999/2N5133 trannies are long gone...the difference btwn a v3 3003 ram's head and the violet is the 0.1uF caps instead of 1uF (less bass) and a 39k resistor to ground in the tone section instead of 100k so more midscoop. Those FS36999/2N5133 trannies sound great though.

The best pedals I've bought for the money were a 1968 Si Fuzzrite for $107 and a National/Shin-ei FW-939 Fuzz Wah for $39...that's a Superfuzz...for less than $40
Other than that, PaulCochrane's Timmy is not expensive, same goes for HappyRobot in the UK and Montgomery/MaryKelley in the US.
