My journey with gear did start not too many years ago (although I still have a few pedals from my rock band days from the early '90s) and I never thought I could get excited/emotional about a manufacturer's return or departure but I am really excited about the return of DOD/Digitech! They have released many pedals that I often use (Death Metal, Carcosa, Meatbox) and some that I just enjoy playing around with (Gonkulator, Whammy, Dirty Robot) and I can't wait to see what they are going to release once they get the initial selection out to the world. The JHS episode with Tom Kramm was great and I wish all the best for DOD/Digitech! (Is it now called just Digitech or Digitech DOD or what? They use both names and logos in their current pedals)

Tom said in another thread that the only person who was 100% knowledgeable about the Space Station was hired by InMusic, so I suppose you can start asking the good people of Numark or Alesis or M-Audio? :idk:

Remember: the Space Station was built upon DSP code that doesn't eggsist anymore, and would be difficult to convert to Spin chips  It still is alive in EPROMs out there, so you could always go the long way around and buy an old XP unit & install that 'prom :joy:

But didn't one of the CooperFX card stations have a few similar patches? You should go bug Cooper at Chase Bliss dot edu dot guv, why knot?

I hope the updated/reissh DOD 250 will be the Bunny mod, but I'm also interested in whatever the groop comes up with, short of festooning the enclosure with cartoon skeleton pirates

I eventually picked up a reverb space station model new in box for super cheap and had it modded to access all of the different versions. It was cool that josh was pointing out how a lot of the sounds that Tom came up with are showing up in pedals today (e.g. the space station patch that sounds like the EQD rainbow machine). Its a fun pedal but the lack of editing for the patches... Right before the digitech sale I met one of the sales reps at the stomp box exhibit in NY and he had mentioned a hungry robot 2, and a few other pedals. curious to see what comes out if they're picking up from where they left off.

Speaking of programming, I found that chatGPT can program Arduino, not that I have a fucking clue what to do with it. I just thought of a sound and asked it to write code. apparently it can write other DSP code but will not write anything but open source.

With newer tools like the TONEX stomp/plugin being AI-powered, I imagine the simplest approach would be to make Space Station samples and then use the AI to quickly create an approximation of similar textures. You could then tweak and modify the sonic blueprints, before sharing it in a new platform.

Think Ben Adrian works at Line 6 - but you can get a KWB from Scott from time to time:

Thanks! I also posted that link a few weeks back in the NUDE gear thread threat when they became available again, but I'd just love to see the bunny mod get a bigger window to more folks, really. I'm sure Keely or some pseudo non-denominational ILF company already offers something similar (just not as bunnified), but also I would love to see a cartoon skeleton pirate bunny a lâ Kram & co. :trippy:

Ben still works for L6 AFAIK, but I only see him post occasionally on the PRForum from time 2 thymme, unless he became David Lynch's personal roadie or something.

Yeah for sure - Skully did a take on the bunny to my 250 (... literally 10 years ago  ) so there's definitely some capacity for this. I think the 'problem' is that if you want a 250... you maybe don't want the Bunny since it's quite different.
good deals are here.

I would just futz the diode clipping and call it a day on a smd pedal. Or get a cheap 250/D+ kit and some extra parts and futz around after studying this:
https://benadrianaudio.wordpress.com/20 ... led-bunny/

Reminds me how cool Duncan was with the Tweak Fuzz—transistors and resistors were smd, but there were solder pads for through hole components so people could do all the standard Fuzz Face mods. It’s a pretty hip way to manufacture a classy circuit.

This is cool but I hope they would make the 250 yellow because the canary yellow looks better than the gold IMHO

That's really all I have to say. I sold my Meatbox a few years ago but I *might* be tempted again? If it were normal priced....
