Oh its great! Even if they're like $300 used, I'd still get one and may get a few more in the future just because of how much I like the one I have now. Its very mid focused with not a lot of low end, which is why I think most people use it as a boost. But turning down the drive and turning the volume up pushes amps into this early 2000's black parade ass, tight riffy ass crunch thats really sick and brings out a lot of clarity into whatever you put after it, which I do all the time. I cant use anything else now because other drives sound too low end heavy to me. Every time I try something new its just not the same.

If you can build a good clone/get one for cheap do it. I think out of all the pedals I have its the one I absolutely cant live without. Worth the cost of admission. Tho I would like to know whats a good clone so I dont have to tour with an OG. :excellent:
It looks like a simple build:

I was talking about a boss od-1 clone.

BP, there is an OD-1 'homage' pedal I've been looking at (used) lately; the PettyJohn ODI. I've hesitated because the price is still pretty high, it gives massive TGP vibes and the jewel light seems to be very bright. But it does sound good.

The Special Cranker I don't have a lot of interest in. Sounds decent, more options than the OG and it's a pleasant orange. Would consider a cheap second-hand one if it popped up.

I have been looking at this a lot. it has options for some clipping and undoing the low cut. i like the mcr comparison. that album does not have the tones of an album from a major label in 06

Damn straight. Songs like This is How I Disappear have such ripping tight tones. Been trying to ape that shit for years.

Thanks for the recs y’all!
