I dunno lol. Maybe we could go between different styles. I like the idea of starting off with slow Smashing Pumpkins style clean bits, and then going into fast punky Nomeansno style stuff, then some kind of crazy harmonic octave fuzz messiness.

It's obviously going to have to be an EPIC recording spanning up to 20+ minutes... I am totally down with that, though........... as long as there can be TEN solid seconds of some insane noise, haha......

I think it's more fun to do a collaborative effort on a song. Everyone can record something and we'll get some crazy Exquisite Corpse of a track.

The problem is that some people aren't going to be as competently set up to produce a track on their own. It'd make more sense to nominate different people to do each track, like if I was to play synth on a track, PP did vocals, MM did bass, Devi played rhythm guitar and Aen played lead or something. Then other people could say "Hey wouldn't be great if I added in this noise I made that sounds like an elephant being squashed by a Gundam" so nobody would be left out.

Plus we could annoy HCFX for it, being all "Hey check out this AWESOME new music project" and say we're all using Pete Cornish and vintage Fender amps.

hm....well i guess that might be the point? or then again maybe not, it could just be a nice showcase of the ILF communities total disregard for sensible music
bedsides idk if we could represent all our builders, i mean does anyone own any devi pedals anymore? :idk:
i heard production was halted in the taiwanese and chinese factories and the portland one is slowly killing everything off? maybe just rumours, idk...
(btw to all lurkers and new members, im totally joking when I say mean things about devi, i love her and her pedals to no end. the exception is when i say she smells like fungal growth on a corpse's foot. that's an undeniable fact.)

lol, rosie.

I like this idea.

Logically, any Fuzz, scrambler or nasty distortion at all would be a good idea, though we'd need to have at least one ILF/"Indie" Fuzz pedal in each track. I don't think it'd be too hard to represent all the forums here, even if you just took a demo clip of one of the pedals and mixed it in somewhere, maybe make a loop out of it.

It'd be great to use anything and everything in this, like even using stuff from cheap crappy multi-fx and all that. I kinda like the Fuzz on my Zoom G1, very warm for a cheapass digital fuzz.

Actually we could take some of the demo clips and make it into a full track too... if anyone has the mixing skills for that.

Assuming I’m competent enough to produce a track on my own…
Actually today I played around with the idea of an ILF bass line, something basic, and the idea of all the other low Enders here embellishing and playing leads.

I haven’t come up with anything yet.

It would be easier (for me) to work from a basic melody (noise guys protest loudly), drum track, or even working off someone else’s bass line (love screwing up other peoples bass lines) to get an idea of what was wanted.

Maybe submissions and a vote (pole) to pick the most fitting, or one everybody agrees on as a base to work from.

Then vocals, leads, ambiance could also be chosen by consensus.

Of course this may work out as badly as every thing else ever designed by a committee.

MM

Hey my part would be using a vintage Ampeg, and VP and Aen have vintage Fender Twins, so minus the Pete Cornish it would be true.
