Just curious if you any of you are thinking about blowing up your set up and going something different :hello:
First time now I'm thinking about selling all my pedals and then buying Line6 Helix rack or similar rack processor
I have done the " Lets blow everything up for a Neural DSP Quad Cortex" several times now

I have been thinking about selling my EGC for about a year now but have just been to lazy to try and get good enough photos to list it. I realized that I kinda suck at guitar and I never play it standing up because it hurts my back after a little bit. IDK it plays and sounds amazing but the money I would get from it would help pay off the rest of my school shit so it's definitely on the block, just a matter of when. Also considering/started to sell half my pedals because I don't really play guitar that much and not all of them sound great with both synths and guitars.

I'm still thinking about flipping my Goodbye 24 for a Boss PS-2. Again. Been going back and forth between the two over the years. Basically a question of unique effects I use occasionally versus ease of use.

Trade in can be a good option if you have a decent shop nearby. My local place gave me around 1/2 list price for some stuff I brought in. I hadn't paid list for any of it so it was a pretty good deal. Saves shipping costs and associated fees and most other annoyances. It's a nice easy way to get a refresher.

I have been close to sell 3/4 of my stuff multiple times, specially now that I play with a pedaltrain nano+ most of the time..
sometimes I even did an extended clean-up, but then after some months the GAS kicks in again and... :idk:

A Quad Cortex would make my life REALLY easy to play down stairs. Earlier on in the year I had the office space next to my wife's business area to play so a pedal board was no issue. Now that the baby sleeps in the next room, I cant really use it seeing as most of my time jamming is late night AFTER my day is already done. I know its a 1st world whiney bitch type of deal but the last thing I want to do is break down my set up every time I want to sit and jam. 95% of my time is devoted to Work / Family so its hard hit playing every day like I should.

The move is after Christmas is get a small board and break up my current one.

I used to sell music stuff. I don't make that mistake any more, especially with things like pedals that I might yank from a shelf and play with at any time. A big instrument that will never come out of the case is different.

Usually I full throttle into a hobby and when I get bored and look to the next hobby, I liquidate the last and use those funds to go stupidly excessive into the new one. At times I look at my big pile of stuff and think this stuff is all a distraction from playing, but then I remind myself that the reason I do this is to have fun and sometimes plugging in a pedal and making weird noises is all the fun I want...sometimes re-arranging the pedals on the shelf is fun...sometimes plugging in with no pedals is fun. As long as it isn't taking away from the fun, have at it...but remember, if what you really want to do is just play for 5 minutes everyday, your pedals have nothing to do with that.

I sometimes get the flipping urge
But never done a drastic purge,
When this mood hits I must reflect
On past gear flipping I regret

Disappointed I couldn't find an applaud-smily to reply to that. I love .gifs but still want to keep it classic ILF as much as possible on here. Here have this a lousy compensation for what I really wanted to post: :yay: :thumb:

yeah that's the way to do it I think and that's the rule I try to stick to now.

And then three months later I do the exact same thing.
I had good luck purchasing a Lab Series L7 amp from a guy through Kijiji
but that was back in 2011.

I also met a guy in a Tim Horton's parking lot to sell him an Ibanez ArtCore AFS75T
guitar. I brought a headphone amp for him to test to make sure it worked, but he
just gave me a wad of cash and we parted ways. :snax:

Outside of that I find that the prices on Kijiji are super high and are based on the
fact that buying the item new from Long & McQuade would cost more due to taxes.

But... you know... buying from a store is more secure, allows for returns, etc., etc.

My moving purge sale went up in BST. Reverb listings to follow. Moving into a smaller space so giving up on the idea of setting the analog studio up.
