Get yourself one of these and the + EPROM if you haven't yet.

The difference in visibility/ease of using the damn thing for programming is astounding.

When turning on the display show "Quadreverb Plus" I guess that is already done :) The display is also quite clear for now so I don't really need to change it but thanks for the headsup!

Then you've got a plus. It was as huge upgrade for cheap as I had a basic bitch Qverb at first.

I hate the old LCDs versus the modern ones, the contrast and nearly 50 year old eyes doesn't do wonders - I always swap them out if I can.

I've been keeping my eyes open for some good deals on rack gear for some time, but I haven't found much around here. All I've found so far is a Boss DE200 digital delay, which is actually pretty fun to mess around with.

Yea, the DE-200 is a fun little toy.

I gave one to a friend who used mine more than I did - he loved the destructive LFO for the loop and delay (whereas I prefer the 'mangle and retract option of the Digitech RDS units I still use to this day).

Billy Corgan just posted a bunch of rack stuff on reverb if anyone is interested (might be overpriced because of his name tho)

Yeah, I saw the $5000 Alesis SR-16 and decided to bounce. There are some rack units that are not completely outrageous, but it's hardly a spot to be looking for a deal.

Your rack set-up looks super cool, BTW. 100% usable, which is more than I can say about mine, hahaha.

Thanks crochambeau!

I just ordered a mono/stereo jack plate for my hiwatt. I'll build a back panel (to keep the original one untouched) and put it on so I can do a wet/dry setup (2 speakers wet and 2 dry). That way I can also play both preamp at the same time instead of just one at a time :)

The Corgan sale is a mixed bag. DHP-55 was at a good price if working. Sold by the time I saw it or I probably would have defied the monthly budget. There at least were some okay deals.

I received it yesterday so I've had very limited time with it but so far I like it. It can go from clean to absolutely crazy gain, it can sound like you put a fuzz face in front of it. :excellent:

It also has an fx loop with possibility to do 50/50 mix, it has stereo in and out if I remember correctly, input and output gain pads (-10db) too so it has quite a few features. Some presets sound meh to me but generally I like the clean ones and it is super easy to tweak them and save new presets. There is also a midi footswitch input so you can do things like preset changes and stuff.

Might fuck around and get an Alesis Q20, the Quadraverb's final form. I love my Wedge, but I do not love how much desktop space it takes up or its noise floor. Q20 should be basically the same, except minus the Ambience and Quad Pitch Shift algorithms (which both rule), and plus some other algorithms the Wedge doesn't have.

Quadraverb+ havers, do you like the Resonator algo? The Q20 only has a single pitch, whereas the Plus has 5 voices.
