That's amazing. And if one breaks during a show or whatever you already have the replacement wired upretinal orbita wrote: when I was playing in a noisecore band I’d use two or three, one for treble maxed for weird solos, one as a standard “knobs at noon” distortion and o e with the lows cranked and the mids and highs turned off for watch shaking sub bass sounds.
Wait, weren't you using the Bf2 as chorus? Nah probably I am just confused.coldbrightsunlight wrote:I think I'm a basic bitch and use things for their intended purpose.
Another thing I do all the time - but ain't no particular secret - is to use the Bitquest in ring mod mode, and when I want to use it for reverb I just crank up the reverb knob in that mode and lower the freq so it becomes a reverb+tremolo.

I have been known to use a BF-2 as a chorus-y thing I guess. But I consider this normal for flangers? It being the "same effect" on principle so a lot of pedals have some crossover.

Just remembered I used to use my DD-2o as a splitter in a two amp setup. I set the delay super low and sometimes in Tape mode for extra sexy.

This is all I've done with the BitQuest since I started gigging with it! Lovely natural reverb with "weird" a couple twists away.Dowi wrote: Another thing I do all the time - but ain't no particular secret - is to use the Bitquest in ring mod mode, and when I want to use it for reverb I just crank up the reverb knob in that mode and lower the freq so it becomes a reverb+tremolo.

Like single digit low? I love using delays like that for super tinny out of phase sound. Eventide delays are awesome for it. Moog Chorus also excells at it. Guess that is not the main thingfriendship wrote:Just remembered I used to use my DD-2o as a splitter in a two amp setup. I set the delay super low and sometimes in Tape mode for extra sexy.

Supermoon Chrome-
mix @ 11
decay @ max
sway @ close to minimum
It’s not that far off from a reverb, but I like to use this setting more like a lo-fi sustainer the way you might use an EHX Freeze. Keeping the modulation dialed back gives the sustain a machine-like quality that feels different from the spooky decay that the pedal is usually known for. It’s great for stacking up bunches of notes or chords and sending them into another pedal that’s set up for lots of feedback or oscillation.

I'm not even sure how other people use theirs, but most of the time my Tension acts as a pitch shifter. Awesome glitchy randomy drone looper as well though, which I guess is close to what it's actually meant to be?

I use my pigtronix mothership 2 as a siren/R2D2 talking thing with an expression pedal. I also use that same sound for snare pops when looping rhythms. I think that pedal is more designed to be used as a synth not a squelch box.
I use the bitquest primarily for the delay.
I use the 856 for zellersasn as a rhythm machine...not sure what that box's intended purpose is though, so maybe that is exactly what it was designed for?
I use a Hedra as an octave pedal.

Yup! It was going through two different amps set apart apart about 8 feet or so, so there wasn't much a ton of phase cancellation, it was mostly t h i c c. Though if I had been recording it and collapsed to mono, there might have been some weirdness in there.qersty wrote: Like single digit low? Would love to do that into dual amps with the detune mode set very low for some one-man Glenn Branca shit.goroth wrote:Colin Marston uses a Boss PS3 (iirc) as a splitter.friendship wrote:Just remembered I used to use my DD-2o as a splitter in a two amp setup.
