I do agree with this. In principle you're 100% right. If the other party thinks it's a fair payment then it's yours. However I think it's the relationship element implies some level of wish for the person to use it? Like a gift to a friend. It's theirs so if they sell it that's their business but I'd feel kinda bad if they did it straight away.

I don't think this is entirely logical. I'm just explaining why I'd feel the same as Scruffie in that situation.
