Answering my own question here. Clock behavior seems to be program-specific. If the program is a delay (or I guess anything that involves filling a buffer) then turning the Clock knob changes the buffer playback pitch, but with modulation type programs it just introduces a little extra wooziness and alters the mod speed. Makes sense now that I think about it.

I have all the cards and I can't stop using the LoFi card. Just love that one.

Yes, I just picked up the LoFi and Reverb cards and I agree that the LoFi one is full of good and useful sounds. I was on the fence about getting the Reverb card, but I'm glad I did. It could maybe use an "ordinary" reverb option, but if you turn down the PMix on the Arp reverb you can get a reasonable plate-ish reverb sound. Good enough for the likes of me, at least.
Now that I can directly compare some of the similar-in-theory programs, I can confirm Teej's comments above. The LoFi and VHS reverbs can be made to sound similar, but their differences are quite apparent. The flutter on the LoFi VHS sound is very different from the flutter on the Gen Loss ComboA, more like a mix of flutter and noise, but not like the mix of flutter and noise in the original Generation Loss. It's nice to have all of these different flavors. LoFi Vinyl and Gen Loss ComboB are indeed very unalike--different waveform on the modulation, different sweep on the Age, different kinds of noise. And he says there's a slight difference between LoFi Crusher and Synth Mono, but I couldn't get them to sound all that much like each other. Synth Mono is a much more "traditional" synth sound to my ears.
I'm glad to see that Ambient Endeavors curated a card. The mixture of effects on the LoFi card really made me appreciate the advantages to having radically different effects on one card (as opposed to the more rigid themes like Delay, Grain, Reverb, etc.). So I can use the modulation-type effects on a rhythm part and switch to delay or reverb for a melody line without having to swap cards, for example.
But ugh, the tone attorneys on TGP are discussing/mocking the "VHS sound" and you just have to laugh.

I didn’t really look at the new card. I have all the other 8 and when I heard it was just 2 new programs I stopped reading. I am hoping to someday be able to make my own card. The concept is very cool but in practical use, it is very limiting and kinda sucks. As a result most of the cards I haven’t done more than cursory explorations with because I fell in love with th8ngs like the LoFi card and use it so much that if I was realistically to use other effects, I kinda need another pedal and now we are just getting out of control.
Very unique pedal and I love the gimmick but...eh...ya know what I mean?
