Sure.. then you end up with a bunch of them... and you end up using your good ones... then you sell the pile of cheap ones... then you buy more cheap compressors.. then after playing with them for a bit you lose interest again... go back to your good ones... the new cheap ones sit around collecting dust... then you sell them.. then... yep I know this game too well...

When I was 17 or so, I had my mom pick up my bass, which they fixed for me. My mom passed the store when going for groceries of whatever, I didn't have a driver's license yet. Cheap jazz bass copy in need of a new nut, the original pastic one broke in two. I had already removed the old worn strings, had a new set laying around.

The nut was replaced, no complaints there. But they took the liberty of stringing my bass up with the most expensive fucking strings in the goddamn world. At that age, being into punk rock, with the state of of my bank acount at the time, having no idea there was even such a thing as $100 strings...I felt raped

Called them and yelled at 'em for a bit, but I obviously just ended up paying the outragious bill back to mom.

A year or so earlier, I bought my first new amp there. It took 'em two months and three attempts to finally fix that god aweful sounding Marshall Valvestate

They're known for ripping off noobs and -at best- being totally clueless about guitar gear. I think they mainly make their living renting/selling pianos and brass nstuff to local schools and marching bands. Best just avoid them like the plague.

Their guitar inventory is ligit though. Never seen a "John Mascis" Jazzmaster before
