Re: Kramer DMZ guitars

I have two. A later DMZ (the Paul Unk Body) and an XKG. I really like them both but wouldn't pay what they go for online. For $600 or so they are cool guitars and different.

I really like the neck and fret board personally. It's very wide, very flat, and straight which works well with my hands but it definitely different then most electrics. I've never had issues with intonation or tuning on mine. I more or less set it and forget it.

They are definitely heavy but I don't find it unbearable. You do need a good strap.

I have never noticed the tuning issues with either of mine living in Boston but I've also never left them in a freezing trailer for hours and gone into a hot venue.

good enough for Pink and Brown, good enough for me.

I never tried a Kramer but I had a Vaccaro and decided I'd prefer full aluminum over the hybrid. I've since played a few EGCs and they're very different. The Vaccaro is more like a regular wood guitar and I assume the Kramer is similar.
