What about the Danelectro Fab Tone? Mean sounding fuzz with lots of mid range. Budget price, too.

Note Torn's comment on the video.
Following because I too have been obsessed with him lately, though not (quite) to the point of tone-chasing (yet). Maybe after my verbquest settles down...

PigPile is awesome indeed. covers a lot of ground and felt more versatile than being limited to a HP... enjoyed the times i've messed with one.

I did watch few demos this Pigplie lately, and it's very interesting indeed, seams also super versatile. I'm waiting until a new batch is out.
Also the Basic Audio Pirk makes me wonder, being it able to self oscillates.

Sorry for the OT, but:
Torn’s been on a PCM-80 for most of his verb needs since he got a prerelease one as a beta tester (which I believe is the one he still uses). Yes, it’s long since paid for, but he still hauls it in his travel rack where a pedal would be easier and other pieces of his former rack have gone there, like harmonizers being reduced as small as a Whammy Ricochet.
On growly dirt, the Dirty Drive mode on the Elektron Analog Drive isn’t a full fuzz but can do some great sounds like an early Tonebender with the guitar volume down not really cleaning up but getting gated and textured. Enormous footprint, tho, so a good thing it does other tricks.

As luck or fate or total coincidence in a cold, uncaring universe would have it, someone just put an Electrofoods Lil Pig up on Soundlot - they're seeking a "high gain" pedal in exchange...

I was almost there to pull the trigger on the Pigpile yesterday, but then I had a regret, refreshed the webpage, and the fuzz was already sold out after 5 minutes the sale started!
