My top 2 fuzzes are 4 knob Algal Bloom and Warmjet V

Nit sure they ever made sounds I thought were "impossible" but fuzzed out in the exact way I wanted them to.

The Algal Bloom is something special. And the Doom Bloom even more so!

Warmjet V is definitely a bit intriguing...

i feel the same way about my Big Muff from the early 00s. Nothing fancy, super cheap, but paired with my other pedals it did that one sound that later i have never been able to accomplish with any variant i ever tried.

Got here and played it a bit yesterday: it sounds HUGE.
The Twin-T setting is fun and chuggy, and the Octave up is nicely focused, killer, War Fuzz is similar to the Fuzz War (you don't say? ).
i wan't impressed by the other two settings so far - BUT i have played it only in the Boss Katana, which is not the ideal platform for Fuzzes. Curious to hear it through the Hiwatt when i have the chance to go back to the rehearsal room.
Also: volume issue. More that you'll ever need. It's actually annoying, you use basically the first quarter of the volume knob, then everything becomes deafening territory.

That being said, i like it and it's super useful to have all those options in a single fuzz.

Personally I thought mode 3 was a better version of the fuzz war setting. Great stuff. Would buy that pedal, please make. And I hate mode 1 and 5

My thoughts after 45mins playing are:
Mode 1 with low gain and focus on low/mid freqencies was like the fuzz version of the HM, nice for palm muting heavy riffs.
Mode 3 sounded like the mode 2 but with more mids and overall less clarity,
Mode 4 Octave sounded good for both riffs and solos, and was less splashy tha i expected.
Mode 5 seemed totally unrelevant to me, like, meh.

but i should definitely dig in it more with the other amp before judging, a digital amp is definitely not the appropriate thing to use a pedal like this one.

Also, the tone knob is really good like you said in the previous page. A lot better than the usual tone controls you find on fuzzes, i felt it reacted in different ways depending on the setting.

Yeah! The tone control is the best bit of the pedal. Super cool - no idea why, like what is the design of it that's different? I never found a good use for mode 5. And mode 4 is less good than using a green ringer with mode 3. Can you tell I like mode 3?

I suppose my problem with mode 1 is it's just... entirely inferior to the elements if I want to do some chugging. It's not an awful sound in itself.

My main issue with the pedal was volume though! The volume knob is crazy and the jumps between the different modes are huge. I get that some of them are really high gain and it's tricky to exactly balance the volumes, but it feels like they could have made a bit more effort.

apocalypse mode 1 was really nice on bass iirc

Yeah the Elements is killer, and for chugging distortion is always better than Fuzz, but it is nice to have an option like that on the Apocalypse, just in case you know..
Re-green ringer: don9have one on board rn and the new project it's already overpopulated, but I would love to try one at some point. Never had a pure green ringer, just other octave fuzzes.
100% agreed on the volume knob, It's like when they made the Fuzz War without one or the Echo dream 1...we all like loud volumes, but seriously, why?
