Checking out that graphic fuzz right now... sounds like a good fuzzy bassman tone to me and the simplicity  Not exactly sure what a bosstone is though.. I'll look into it. :thumb:

I built one years ago, but the 2 together, gets that wall of dense with that octave-y karang. I used it when I was a broke college student with a HRD when I wanted to pretend to be Andy Cohen (the Silkworm guitarist, not the television host)

ILF User Lubdar has a 7 Transistor Fuzz War for sale... somewhere maybe? It could be the answer. I believe it was inexpensive or at least reasonable too. I have two of his pedals and it makes me sad to think of life without them.
Oh NO! Sad INSIDE! You're gunna make me sick!

Alternatively, get something small, like a pro jr. The level of fuzz in The Oblivians records are crazy as hell, but it's all small amps about to blow up. I plugged my jext telez dizzy tone into my exes 50s/60s-ish 10 watt amp that she bought from an old shit gear shop, nearly gave her poor dog a heart attack.

You know what, I was literally just thinking about trading my 65' Deluxe Reverb in for the Custom 68' Reverb. I've heard it breaks up much earlier, but still has the deluxe sound which is great with pedals. Plus the Bassman tone stack on the custom channel sounds super interesting.

On a side note, I was actually just looking at the Jext Telez Dizzy Tone because the dude from Wand uses one. A red one I believe.

Oh do this! I love those OBLIVIANS records. Hell yeah! I should have done this a decade ago. We're growing as people in a not intuitive way.
@TraceItalian - Assuming you're into this too? I can confidently say this is like... a top 20 compilation for me!

Can you educate me on these? What's the difference between the two black and white and black and gold? What's the difference between these and a regular Fuzz War? And what's 7 transistors going to do?

There are two fuzz wars. Earlier ones are different than the in production ones (which are big muff based). The seven transistor thing is referring to the fuzz war version and is a basic description of the fuzz type (not fuzzrite or whatever). The paint is just different paint.

I loved the 68 CDR, course, I was doing alt country, so I'm automatically biased. Inwill say, when I got to borrow it to bring home, it took pedals super well

No DIRTBOMBS but this thread made me dig out my OBLIVIANS and BASSHOLES stuff. This thread may have disrupted the course of my musical direction

I will check out THE DIRTBOMBS now.
