That's one of many ways I use my Digitech RP360. I also had the GT001, and kept the Digitech because I liked the amps and cabs (and other pedals, and the interface) better. Basically an improved and updated Yamaha Magicstomp, and right at the same price point.

My main preamp in an AMT SS20 valve preamp, I have this since years now and I love it.

Shiftline Cabzone LE!!!!!
Comes with 10 IR's and you can add your own. It's all you need to sound like you're paying through an amp.

for preamps I've got a verellen skyhammer pre and the orange bax bangeetar. both rule for high gain stuff. for a clean channel I tend to just use a clean boost for the time being.
for cab sims I was using an ADA gcs-2, and recently upgraded to a two notes torpedo cab, both of which are great.

I know I've got some stuff recorded with it... Somewhere. I'll see if I can remember what I used it on. Otherwise I'll grab a few clips and post them in the next day or two

the orange bass butler thingy looks pretty great. obv it's marketed for bass players but bass gear is guitar gear. curious to see how they sound.

Re: Guitar preamp/DI pedals. What are you using?
i have an effectrode blackbird pedal tube preamp that i have been using for about a year now give or take. new they are terribly expensive, but i grabbed mine about half price on reverb when someone was desperate and needed to unload it. I run my pedalboard into it, which then runs into a solid state poweramp. the blackbird does what i need it to do which is add some saturation, compression, and harmonics to liven up the solid state poweramp. was one of the best purchases ive probably ever made, and shows in that i haven't turned on my tube amp more than one time since i bought it and set it up. i record with it regularly as well. If you can find one used for cheap, it is a nice pedal for fender/dumble amp sounds if you enjoy that. has tons of switches for adjusting how the tubes saturate and drive, etc. which is really helpful, as well as has two channels that you can attach a footswitch to as well

Re: Guitar preamp/DI pedals. What are you using?
BUMPIN'
I got a Two Notes C.A.B. M a while ago and am really stoked with the power amp, cab and mic simulation - I just run the line out from a Jazz Chorus into it and the direct tones are the best I've heard (very little difference in dynamics and the way dirt pedals interact when compared to normal amp tone).
I'm hoping to substitute the Jazz Chorus part of the signal chain with a preamp pedal/unit so I can have a super compact DI fly-rig kinda thing, but the preamp on the C.A.B. M doesn't really cut it. It seems dumb to buy a tube preamp to replace a solid state amp, and since 'preamp' is now synonymous with 'expensive ass transparent OD that nobody actually uses straight into a power amp' I'm having a hard time coming up with good options..
Any thoughts?

I've been using my EQD Monarch along with Iconoclast for years and it's all that I need.
