Exately this I was going to suggest when I saw the topic title! Tough I've never played it, and the information about this is very spare and there are not so many demos out there...

I have been interested in one for some time, so it's definitely a pedal I'll be keeping an eye out for this year

I have a flikrrr pedal. My opinion is that I don’t think it will be what you are looking for with random tremolo. It seems random but it is actually a fixed “random” sound if that makes sense. You can’t change the speed at all. The waveforms are good but not much difference in sound. I do really like the flikrrr but it’s actually a very limited pedal. Also so far I have never had it pair well with dirt pedals. Hope this helps.

Cool to get feedback from someone who actually owns one! Thanks!!

My pleasure :thumb: I have a feeling you would probably like the goatkeeper or a tremolo that you can change the waveforms and speed via expression pedal. That’s what I would go for myself. I am a pretty big tremolo guy too. After delay it’s my favorite Effect.

I think you can randomize anything you want with a MD500.

was working on some tremmy toanz with the Gravitas this week. Decided to check the youtubes and found this nug:

It can do two totally different trems at the same time?? I knew that it can do both standard and harmonic trems, but I guess I didn't realize they could each be set to a different tempo, depth, and everything else. And you can ramp those things for constant movement on each trem.

Not exactly what OP was looking for, but you can make it seriously random sounding.

I have the Stone Deaf Tremotron, which is also a dual trem that can do some pretty trippy sounds with two different trem types, rates and depths. You can also control the rate with expression pedal, so realistically, I already have almost what I'm looking for, minus the random waveform part. I think I'm at a place where realistically I have all the pedals I need, so I'm just inventing sounds to try GAS for

Not real random but the zvex tremolo has a mode where it randomly steps through 8 steps of the sequence. I think the sequencer controls volume so its still stepped at a set rate which may make it seem not as random. The malekko remake of the goatkeeper has a (two actually) random mode too but as I have understood you only get random for one of the two steps. First step you can set random waveform and/or rate subdivision but for the second step you gotta have a set waveform and subdivision. Another option is getting something like a source audio reflex, which does s/h to expression out, and run it with a pedal that has expression input. The gravitas would be awesome for this because you can control any parameter via expression but you can also shut off the internal lfo and make it a $400 volume pedal so you can have pure s/h trem as well as randomizing rate, depth, tone, master volume, lfo pw.

The OBNE Whitecap would *sound* random if you got the two trems on completely different wavelengths and forms.

Yeah ever since this thread and hearing the flikrrr I’ve been pretty obsessed with random tremolo and random phaser. I’m very happy with the things you can get from the boss GT I think it’s similar to the chase bliss ramp idea

Yeah, I’m still pretty keen on getting one of these flikrrr pedals at some point when I have some spare $$$ and a shorter wants list.

oh yeah I meant to bump with more findings,

4ms stereo panneur (aux LFO version)
alesis modfx ampliton
midfi electronics random phase and vibrato
digitech hardwire tr7 seems to have a dual tremolo setting that is randomish
