That bass has been gifted several times, pass the love along.
As for my gear goalz, I'm not really sure. I'm still happy with what I have, and sometimes wonder if I even need it all. New album is taking shape nicely, and I feel like I am able to do everything I want to with just a few of the pedals I have. Sorry, Sharky.

Maybe you could get me to gas for something? What would you like to see me own?
My interest is peaked by some of the stuff Drod has been talking about building though, small solid state amps in particular. Would still like to try a EHX 16 second delay or some vaiant thereof as well.
Oh, and there's a few people I've been talking about collaborating with musically, hope to get some more projects going next year.

My gear goal in 2020 is to buy nothing. Not a damn thing. To be honest, I need a break.

I'm sure I'll miss out on a lot of cool stuff but I still got to pay for all the cool stuff I bought last year. lol
Music goal is to actually release at least a single. I don't know why I'm waiting...

3) Get some fuzzes
4) Buy an amp

Most comical goals thus far

I just want a midi foot controller so I can get all of my weird guitar bullshit hands free. Everything else is transitory.

1. I did thins going into 2018 I think? It's comical if you read the thread

I was like NO GEAR. The January 14th FUCK... Just bought 4 pedals.
I'm sure you can do it though.
And 2. The single you can do!

Since moving into a new house at the end of the summer I have been stagnant. I’m working on setting up the basement as a studio, but it’s also storage for alll the bullshit that is being continuously delivered on what seems like a daily basis. Impossible to keep up with. Hopefully after the holidays that will be over and I can set up the he shit real tight.
As far as guitar gear goes I would like to take my pile of pedals and make 3 boards. One “main” guitar bitch w all my favorite Rat, PLL, CBA nonsense, and some booteek. A small board for a drumbrute. A board of extra shit so I don’t have a milk crate full of pedals I’m not using.
I just bought an old Bassman, but I really want a little Morgan amp. So I will probably get one this upcoming year.
Synth shit, I need to move a Poly 61 out, grab a different key synth, and find a way to quit my eurorack addiction. My goal for synths is to chill the fuck out. Eurorack is cool but i feel like I got too deep into having multiple racks when I really would’ve been happier and more productive by sticking with the Music Easel, some Moog semi modulars, and Black and Gold. Regrets.
I don’t know why I’m responding I don’t know what I want.
I only released two things this year. An Antlerface record and a just ok solo Dromecca thing on my buddies label. I am going to put out more than that this upcoming year I hope.

Damn bro, I felt that
I also just moved into a new house, so my 2020 goals are to purge a tonne of unused gear, set up a music room that is actually conducive to creating music, and set up my new workshop space in the garage for all my DIY stuff. In my old place, I had one bedroom for all my shit, so the room had to serve both functions, which is not ideal, and not very inspiring at all. So I'm keen for that!
Gear-wise, I want to DIY some more stuff. Make some pedals and amps again. Been watching Simon The Magpie a lot lately, so I want to explore contact mics and circuit-bending a bit. Make some music with the results

I never have hard goals, but I can vaguely see myself cleaning up some shit so I can record more. Like moving my huge drawing table and setting up the scattered drum kit in that corner. To that end I will need to buy some stands (snare, hi-hat) though, as well as cymbals. At least a pair of hats and a good ride.
Always meaning to buy more mics and a better pre/comp/interface too.
Basically I want to be able to record drums and bass to tape, export to PC, process and then back to tape for guitar/vocals. Something like that. Pivoting towards a future of more home recording and less jamming with people, as that has proven unproductive.
Guess those are sort of goals.

Hm, I got lots of stuff in 2018, so 2019 was mostly integrating what I have. Only thing of note I bought myself was the Zoom multistomp, which was an

excellent

decision.
I do have a Mooer E7 synth pedal on the way, hoping to harness its cheesiness to make some cool arpeggiations with my band's sax player's signal.
For 2020:
1) new sound sources
- I also have a cheapie 7-string lyre on the way from aliexpress. Assuming it doesn't arrive broken/doesn't fall apart right away, looking forward to making some plinking sounds with that.
- I want to get back on the horse for the music box composition project I didn't get around to this year.
2) pedal aspirations
- my name came up in the Fabrikat waiting list, but I had just had a bunch of dental work done and had bills to pay off so I got myself punted to the back of the queue. Hopefully I'll have some cash in the piggy bank when my name comes around again.
- only aspirational pedal goal I really have is for a Drolo Stretch Weaver... I think that would be amazing in a live context to basically sidechain sax and/or drums.
I mean, if I actually had some more dough coming in, there's no end of stuff I could enjoy. A second multistomp would probably do, though.
I have some plans for recording with two or three projects over the next month, all of which will probably fall to me to "mix"/"master" the results, such as I can. One of those for sure should be getting a tape release. Also hope to set up some proper recording time for my band, which is organizationally tough given everyone's schedules.

I'm thinking more along the lines of this. But I'm waiting for namm or to see what I can find elsewhere. Nothing seems to fully fit what I'm looking for.

The Achilles’ heel of that one is that it cannot send separate messages to separate MIDI channels. So you can’t send a program chamge message to, say, a delay without also sending the same program change command to your reverb. Seems like a decent controller for a single, powerful multi effects or modeler with effects, but maybe not for the self-aware shoe gaze pedalboard or 80s rack of doom.

I didn't think I wanted to buy more pedals, only make them, but then I bought three that I really like - Komorebi, Happiness and Marshmallow - so there might still be something out there I'd like (Geiger Counter and Hax 2 are in my thoughts).
I've got the components here for five pedals I'd like to build plus most of the bits for my eight-fuzzes-in-a-box project, so next year is going to be more building than buying.
Probably.
I've not done any recording for a while, and I doubt I'll do any before the end of the year, but as I've uploaded more than 250 pieces to YouTube in the last two years I reckon a period of reflection is ok
I might do something a little more obviously musical next, if only to show myself that I can do it if I want
