It would be cool if more builders went for more rugged digital platforms so we could get more specialized digital effects with a knob per function and more open ended possibilities.

Something in between an axoloti and zoia would be cool. You need a computer to patch, but have the windows to build the module instead of the grid system with one knkb

2U Eventide rack harmonizer with VSIG (DSP-/GTR-4x00, DSP-7x00, Orville, H-7600/8000, or H-9000). My DSP-7000 was barely more than a new Zoia.

What’ll be awesome will be the stereo version of the H-9000 architecture that comes out whenever the Eclipse becomes too obsolete to keep making. Assuming they put VSIG access or at least the H-9000 release version multi-algorithm routing architecture on it. Maybe a while to obsolescence on the Eclipse, but the successor has potential to be devastating.

Real talk: a DAW that functions like a physical studio and uses VR to do so. Plugins of vintage synths look like vintage synths and plugins of effects look like vintage effects, and you interact with them in nearly identical ways to normal gear. Any automation you create could look like little robots moving your knobs for you. Sequencing a piece of gear could be as simple as showing a bot how to play the thing.

There are so many cool possibilities here, and I really wish somebody would do this. If Roland made a VR modular that had digital control over analog gear, that let you patch an augmented reality version of their synth. I imagine something like the Deepmind 12 VR editor, except without Microsoft’s VR tech.

I would love some pedals from the African Noise Scene. Might have to reach out to my buddies Uganda Boy and Jeffro Muganda.

Two to Five white guys with beards and the same playing style demo a Caroline pedal with their $1500 guitars and feature a locally microbrewed ale that compliments the "tone profile" of the pedal. They seem really friendly. They grew up together, well, except Tim. They met Tim in college at a Derek Trucks concert! Boy, do they sure love talking gear, or "talk shop" as they say when they crack open a pedal and check out the "guts" before they plug it in to play it for the first time. After each demo they place the pedal on their pedal shelf, never to be played again. You ponder the video. It was a Caroline's latest fuzz pedal. Would you even use it? Afterall, that Fulltone Fulldrive 2 is still kicking and a mainstay on your board, and with the homemade one knob boost your buddy made you... could you ever squeeze another gain pedal on your board? You look up other fuzz pedals on youtube as you think about it. You, chuckle, decide against it. Afterall, you never were a fuzz guy, best to not throw away money.

They evolve into the contact mic/tape player->Chase Bliss->lo-fi vibe filter when they reach the 1K IG followers, bro.
Upgrade to the wooden desk and succulents type of person on the 2K followers mark.

This, but all the videos are 3.5 hours each & they keep revisiting it over & over again, Shane Dawson-style. But maybe this is already happening?

Other things: more ring mods 4 everyone, the 60 cycle hum guys move to Bavaria and only review Cold War-era headwear, the Steel Panther guy buys all 5000 of the Chase Bliss x Luckduck collab pedals immediately and has them rehoused by dminner and resold by Abracadabra Audio via forensic pathologist Dr. Baden three months later, Boss DD-NYC1999!, Devi inherits TGP via legal loophole and turns it into the most profitable Carl's Jr in the Great Lakes area, 2020 ILF Secret Satan gets even harder as ILF is strictly on a 24/7 video feed that deletes all the information every five seconds, and the world will fall in love with rotary mixers again.

And even though I want a new Boss/Roland sampler update, their builds kept going in the wrong direction, in terms of size, accessibility, and build quality, i.e. the point of no return

Also 2020'd: the possibility of purple oreos :thumb:
