Not only have I sold all my gear in the last six months, I never had any gear to begin with. The only things I own are: soap, 1 pants, 1 shirt, underpants (x2), a pair of socks, a pair of shoes, an iPad Pro, an iPhone Pro 11, a Macbook Pro, a professional razor blade kit with badger brush and boutique soap, and a large piece of land in rural Oregon. I rent a "small house" from a kindly old elf of a man who is "off the grid" and I use solar energy solely to power my iPad Pro, which has one music app on it, which I have yet to master (iElectribe). I power my iPhone Pro 11 and Macbook Pro from stolen electricity from Starbucks (fuck 'em, am I right? Capitalism must burn!) and I use those tools to graphic design other people for money for rent. I have saved over 1800$ in the last year due to my career. This is why I do not feel GAS and have permanently downsized my entire life. If I see a cockroach, I do not kill it, for it is made of the same star-stuff as my iPad Pro OS 13. I put it outside - the cosmos is a playground made of the same-star-stuff as my iPhone, pants, and socks. As you can see, I have achieved a type of perfection which eludes many pretenders to the throne!

This thread is so me of late. I love my basses [the Vees and the NS], I love my amp, I love my board... now everything else seems like clutter.. I've already started to purge a bit :thumb: more purging to come :omg:

According to the logic of my BST thread I should check in here and agree with everyone.

I'm still waiting for my Salt Box and the Meatbox to finalise the pedalboard but I kind of agree with this. That said, there are so many cool things out and about now:

E.G: The Gen R-8 (goes on sale tomorrow). Decided to save for tattoos instead, but it sounds delicious

So... I can't say I 100% know this feeling but... the whole dirt thing is over for me thanks to BetterOffShred. He made me a fuzz with a high boost and FX loop that is like... the logical conclusion for me... for dirt...

FX loop placed between the fuzz and the boost or what?

I actually think it's just in the Fuzz part but I will confirm with B.o.S.

I'm coining a new term for gear complacency. It's called, "Going Cuba". When you go to Cuba and see they're still rocking cars from the 50s because... they had to. Whatever gear I have now (and this should not be hard because... I have a lot)... just has to work going forward. If it seems like I'm pleased with myself for coming up with this analogy it's because I am.

You can also call it "Going Wonka" like the Wonka factory... nothing comes in but... nothing comes out.

I thought I was GAS free but it turns out I just didn't know enough about what was available.

Actually I like how it sounds.
So, despite the fact that I'd really like to go to Cuba, like, literally, gear-wise i went to Cuba only with small sections of my signal chain (translated: I have just a couple of pieces of gear that I m going to keep forever).

This is where 'going Cuba' comes in. You're not satisfied per say... just... having GAS is not an option cause it won't be a reality.
