Right about what? You assumed and wrote falsely/incorrectly/and without taking the time to find the right answer that your Memory Boy was a "shabby" product because it was made in China. You were wrong. Period. An email from some employee from some Ebay store in no way coincides with anything you wrote about quality control and EHX and China.

Had you simply written that your Memory Boy was DOA (like you did in the EHX forums - but you left out the China reference there) and wondered if anybody else had experienced the same problems, this conversation would not be taking place. Instead, you slogged on a product because you mindlessly thought it would an easy explanation to say that something made in China would explain the "shabby" QC.

Too bad that product was made in the USA.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with your Memory Boy. Thankfully, that company that you dealt with had a return policy. And hopefully, you've realized that sometimes when you simply write stuff just to write stuff, you know, without doing even the tiniest bit of research about it first, somebody may just call you on it...
