I got into the BD-2 because of Swervedriver and the Distortion+ from Bob Mould. Oddly, the SD-1 is a happy medium for me.

Gotcha, good infoChankgeez wrote:No, the buffer's only on if the pedal isn't engaged.
Since I keep it on pretty much all the time, the buffer doesn't really come into play for me.
I use it as an end-of-chain boost/tone shaper. Dead last in the chain.
It's entirely amp, pedal and guitar dependent though. That's what I think anyway.

Both worthy. Was listening to Warehouse the other day for the first time in forever and had the thought: Had there been a more catchy double album since The White Album? I couldn't think of one (which means nothing other than brain powerchuckjaywalk wrote:I got into the BD-2 because of Swervedriver and the Distortion+ from Bob Mould. I'll remain silent on the Beatles, but yeah, Husker Du transcended the era. There's not an album from their catalog, or Sugar's, that I'm not happy to put on.

You can feel free to flame away, no worries. However, (to circle back to the thread subject), they were the Klon to the subsequent Kloneschuckjaywalk wrote:

I've softened on the Beatles in recent years but I still have no use for them. Long story short, I got into music because of punk rock in the early 90's and was already well acquainted with the Clash and the Sex Pistols before I heard a Beatles song. The result was that when full Boomer nostalgia hit, I had already filed them away as irrelevant to my interests, alongside Elvis and the Turtles. I don't actively loathe them or anything, I just need something from my music that they lack.manymanyhaha wrote:You can feel free to flame away, no worries. "Helter Skelter" is a banger, tho, and I love George Harrison's solo work.

We definitely have some overlap though my dad was (and is) a huge Beatles fan. But it wasn't until the Anthology documentary in the mid-90's that it occurred to me how monumentally prolific and influential they were. And how experimental. Pretty much everything from Revolver to the end, they pushed boundaries and The White Album is Exhibit A.chuckjaywalk wrote:I've softened on the Beatles in recent years but I still have no use for them. I kind of feel the same way about Pink Floyd that you do the Beatles: I really can't stand Pink Floyd even though I've had a number of people tell me that my own musical creations reminded them of fucking Pink Floyd.

Anyway, the Klon

Having said that though, my girlfriend recently introduced me to Meddle and I actually kind of like that one.
Anyway, the Klon.
Dead serious, I wonder what a Klon would sound like with a Distortion+. The only issue with the Mustard God is that it is too quiet. A Klon might be the right way to pump up the jam.

Sometimes it takes time to appreciate things?
I mean, it took a year for anyone to reply to this thread.

All great discoveries start with either a question or a fuck up. This is a question worth following up on . . .

Distortion+ into Soul Food is as close as is possible in my tax bracket. I suspect that it will rock as hard as Crowther Hot Cake into Timmy did.

Timmy is obviously not a TS but I used to do this with a TS and it slayed.
