i'm trying my best to dig in my brain for something that has overdrive and an octave and I am coming up short.
Can confirm, does work. However the octave is not quite as brutal and snarly as most "octave" fuzz pedals.

hangwire wrote:Are there any octave up and dirt pedals that have the octave up effect on a second footswitch? I am thinking a Red LLama type crackly dirty boost, with a Green Ringer on a stompswitch to get it weird or to almost fuzz areas as needed.

I was seeing the EQD Hoof Reaper come up in some searches, but I didn't know if those fuzzes got low gain but unity volume sounds that would work? Plus that's a good deal of cash.

Thanks!

he's one of my favorite builders. the shop isn't very big but I know he does a lot more + custom stuff. a friend of mine got a sick custom guitar synth off him, its the craziest pedal I've personally used. I have a pitch shifter on the way
I know he's made a few green ringer style octaves for Metric andhas an octave up fuzz in the his shop + does a lot of dirrty pedals, overdrives and other more experimental shit.

I almost garuntee he'd make you something cool at a good price

just a thought. good luck in your search :hello:

Isn't this what the Damnation Ugly Twin is? I may be wrong about that, I've never tried one.

I'd love to try an Ugly Twin. :snax:

My only concern'd be that you can't switch the order of effects. It goes: octave > boost > fuzz :idk:

Anyone ever used a green ringer in conjunction with a Rat? Curious to how that might work. GR before or after Rat?

Green Ringer before or after Rat?

Works well both ways. Depends on what you wanna hear. Green Ringer after Rat is more messy sounding. :D Green Ringer before Rat is tamer. :animal:

Thinking maybe the Drolo Giant Hogweed might be something worth trying? The octaves section (up and down) is soft-footswitchable, as is the entire effect, if you just want the octaves or the entire effect on as a temporary blast.

Also I think the Fredric Effects Grumbly Wolf *may* be something like an MXR Distortion+ with a (toggle) switch for an octave-up.
Great deals with lordgalvar, filipre, seten, DannDubblewe, PumpkinPieces, backwardsvoyager, DADGBD, jwar, JonnyAngle, dandolin, pd~, Dungus, dminner

the jawn mod says it is digital, I think I am looking more for the glitch and clang than pristine pitch shifting effects. Or is there jawn not that way?
Doh! Yeah I'd want analog octave too. That's weird they only offer digital.
The suboctave is digital. The octave up is digital or analog so it does all of them

Oh for real? The Knob Jawn pedal says the octave up can be analog but not the octave up mod on other pedals. The site should be more clear I guess.
