drolo pedals are quite open ended. I have used mine for various tasks at times even non musical, like a door stopper for example.

I am always reluctant to use the term "should" but it looks like a very good idea and ugly nora is free to pursue it.
I assume that emulating that control board was the initial goal of the manufacturer of this device but they may have had to abandon using the actual symbols due to an alien C&D.
Also, thanks for the tip, I did not know of this movie, might check it out.

Oh most definitely, although in order to do so they would have had to invent a means to travel through time, in which case they would probably have been smart enough to create these pedals themselves and avoid going through the trouble of inventing a time traveling device just to buy pedals of the future.
