If I had to guess...
A lot of people out there doing strange reverb with DSP. Keeley just doing strong but ordinary reverbs. Appeals to blues lawyers. Tom appeals to the ILF nerddom, etc.
Suffice it to say... I bought one...
I don't think you're going to have time to play over the holidays. You're a busy man! I'll just hold onto it for you till January, just to make it easier. No temptation and all that.

Yeah, he more or less says exactly this in the mini-doc. He wanted a dual reverb where one side is pretty bread-and-butter and the other's weirder and glitchier. I think Keeley and Cooper fit those roles really well.

When I've lugged my two amps up onto the stage for an incredibly large and successful rock concert, you sure as shit better believe I'm gonna expect the confused and bored, yet highly professional sound guy to blow a true, immaculate stereo sound representation of my fumbling, unconvincing guitar work out of that definitely brand new and expertly set up PA system into the ears and faces of my audience member(s) like a lazer-guided, dildo-laden bed spring. I sacked my band for this shit, beb.

Having listened to 3-4 demos now and it sounds really nice. I like the Dark side a lot, so big ups to you for those! Keeley side sounds nice too, but you know... It's spring/hall/plate. Having them run into each other or in parallel is rad though. Cool pedal all in all!

I’m bummed it’s not stereo and I really wish reverb demos featured faster playing. Like just tremolo pick a note at 180+bpm and set the decay kinda high. That’s all I want.

I tell myself I want stereo. Then remind myself how many times I’ve put together a stereo rig.
Pretty sure most of us are taking the piss but it’s a reasonable criticism from the literal dozens of us.
Neon: lolllll — even if your half right.

lol this. We have 3 tube amps in my jam room, all fairly accessible from any of mine/my roommate's pedalboards, with plenty of spare cabling to go around, and we only end up running stereo like 1-2 times per month. I do really enjoy stereo for recording purposes (light stereo verb is the simplest/my go-to way to add dimension to a mono stem), but I'm not one to knock a pedal for being mono.
Like UC said, I think the Dark side sounds are really inspiring and push the envelope in terms of what verb can do. Mad ups for all your work on it Tom
One of my roomies is very into good spring/plate emulation and I have a feeling he'll be impressed with the Keely side. I would never buy the pedal if it was just the World feature set, but based off the Knobs video, that vanilla can really compliment & expand the spicier sounds coming out of the Dark side.
I hope I can get my hands on one sometime, but I'm not sure if I can justify taking the plunge right now. Though that 15% off does seem enticing...

Yep. I agree that the Keeley side sounds super nice but I've already got that covered with plenty of other stuff. BUT, the big thing that got me as interaction with the weirder verb and being able to ramp stuff. Oh and PRESETS.
The latter's probably the biggest, as I've been trying to put together a super minimal board and would be way psyched to have a variety of reverb flavors in a little package. Prob will pair it with the RKM and be very happy

To be fair, some of us do run in stereo and that would be nice IMO as well. I run in stereo when I record a lot, it just sounds better.
The FV-1 thing I could care less about. I've had many pedals with that chip and they are great, so I don't get bothered there.
Does that mean this is digital? I remember asking Joel specifically about reverb and he told me no lol. It's cool to see he changed his stance.

I'm all in on this and have one on the way. Very, very excited about the dark side especially. As for stereo, I have another reverb at the end of my chain (the DW will be before a delay and that reverb) which has stereo outs so I'll be covered. Not a deal breaker for me though because the DW is SO DAMN COOL!!!! Cheers to Joel and his team. Again.

I don't know which demo to watch first! Probably Nick, definitely not Knobs. Why does everyone have to release it on the same day? Also I don't think there is space for an extra jack inside, this is CBA after all. Could possibly have been TRS stereo but who knows. I do run a stereo rig both at home and at rehearsal, as does the other guitarist/bassist, so IDK what you luddites are talking about. Either way I'm sure this will sound great.

If I can sell some shit I might jump on board here as well even though I don't want a verb really right now. lol

also one could always argue that if you want true stereo you can always get two of these
