a $10k item and he has 2 crappy pics.

Anyone with the cash to buy it wouldn't out of spite due to the lack of effort put into the listing.

This is like the coolest tape echo ever because it has a built in spring reverb thats patchable in weird ways.

SA now has a standalone, stripped-down verb called True Spring. It has several customized lo-fi verbs like Trash Can, Mini Tank, and Triple Spring. I love lo-fi reverbs, but I couldn't be bothered to maintain and repair old units. That's why I use the Catalinbread Adineko or an Empress Reverb set to lo-fi (with fuzz running into it).

FF to about 1:44 to see/hear a quick walkthrough of the bonus spring algorithms.

The stuff in the SA True Spring is acceptable, don't get me wrong. I burned the algos into my Kingmaker (Yes, you can hack the thing to run ANY of the SA One series pedals, just one of them at a time) to test when it came out. For what I want, I already have it - so back to Mercury Flanger settings it went.

For spring, I got one before the price took off (and they were available new) so not necessarily going to recommend it unless you want an idiot-simple, bulletproof Fender outboard tank in a box - the Boss FRV-1. Other than the ability to kick it to get the springs to do stupid shit - which given how expensive the things are to fix, I wasn't prone to do anyway- I'll kick my Jazz Chorus for that, the FRV-1 sounds stupid good.

Don't get me wrong, the Ventris and True Spring aren't bad, but they're a hair too clean and don't have that murk.

I made a post about it a few weeks back. It boils down to very simple: you open the firmware for whatever pedal you want yours in a text editor to become to match the actual hardware ID of your unit.

I only own one of their pedals (I want a second now, bottom feeding for ANY of the SA One series now).....so I'd like to have two so I can have one as a "permanent" unit, and a second to screw around with and swap (mostly so I don't have to keep restoring and restoring the patches too)....but it's lived as a Mercury Flanger (which does any of the mod effects) since I discovered you can do this.

It started life as the superior purple Kingmaker fuzz, which is a fine Swiss Army knife...but...the Mercury does stuff I don't have otherwise, so....

It finally has become the "everything in a chassis" multifx that should have existed long ago!

Listened to some surf rock and now I'm jonesing for a reverb tank: https://jonnyangle.bandcamp.com/album/twelve-below-2
My Twin doesn't drip. It actually kind of sucks. I want to sell the amp rather than trying different tank, speakers, and tubes.

Yeah -- I fucking loved the verb and echo sounds jack is getting out of his gear in these tracks. I was a lot more into this than I thought I would be.

Twin isn't supposed to drip.

That's what the tanks or good recreations are for.

Load 'em into the front, and melt paint.
