How's the Reissue DEM? Is there a volume drop? Is it reliable?

I have never owned a high-end flanger, but out of the four I have owned (DOD FX75B, Digitech Turbo Flange, Ibanez CF7, Washburn A-F4), I like the the Washburn A-F4 the best...

God, is the switch a piece of crap, though... You basically have to "stomp" it really hard/quickly, or it'll re-engage... Like, it'll sometimes do a quick on/off/on thing if you don't press it quickly/firmly enough...

+1 to the BF-2. I just got one yesterday and it RIPS! totally killed the relationship with my Maxon. I know many ILF'ers are anti-Boss, but I think they hella rock. Plus you can get them mega cheap, hooked up on mine for $25 on craigslist. Very, very, VERY badass flanger.

I wouldn't say people are anti-BOSS, it's just that a lot of their current line-up is just not great. If they reissued the PS-3 and the DF-2 I'd be real happy. Then again I've been meaning to find a BF-2 just because of how it sounds with the CHK CHK BOOM.

I am an admitted fan of quite a few Boss pedals. The BF-2 is a solid flanger, I rocked one for quite a while. The DOD ended up sending it packing, though. Anyone who likes the Boss, I highly recommend picking up the FX75/72(bass) for cheap on the Bay and giving it a try.

I would kill for them to reissue the DC-2, so I didn't have to play the Behringer knock-off.

Yeah, I gotta agree their current lineup is kind of disapointing. I just love my '90s PH-2, BF-2, and OD-2r

Well, the RE-201 copy is good in a TB loop... (bad bypass, even for boss..) Why does the echo volume control your overall volume too?

Echo volume on RE20 does not control the overall volume, it's the input volume knob. :poke:

I don't know why Boss is making all their stuff digital.

I don't mind using Digital effects for stuff that makes sense to be Digital. But for a fairly standard Flanger or Chorus it makes no sense. There's nothing wrong with a good analogue Flanger or Chorus and it'd be cheaper to.

Hmm I dunno if it would be cheaper, the boards probably get made very cheaply and once the programs written... and it most likely removals all the hassles related with consistency and calibrating the pedals.
The chips are also becoming increasingly rarer as the move goes to digital for most companies, probably makes sense to go digital, makes it harder for other companies to steal your designs aswell, but it does ruin it for modders.

Digital also opens up the pedals to do alot more and there's always the non Boss pedals that are still analogue that you can use.

It depends, I was never a huge Phaser fan but unlike with Flange and sometimes even Chorus I never go off my Moon Phaser. That has 5 different phase settings in it. Though one is just a slow tremolo.
