Beetronics has a shitty overdrive and I can't imagine the whoctahell being much better... the enclosures look nice and the bee shaped PCB fort he switch is cool though!

Get a tym fuzzerator (I say again)
I, myself, am a shit post

I love my tomkat violet muffer, but if the graphics turn you off then find something else for sure. There are so many pedals that do the same thing. The unique thing about the tomkat is the ability to remove one or both clipping diodes, but I’m not sure how much the changes things.

Removing the first pair of diodes gets you a Supa Tonebender (almost) and it sounds awesome. :!!!:

Oh snap. I need to try that. Is that the internal dip switch or the external switch? I flip the one on the outside from time to time but I can't remember if I'm putting a diode in or taking it out. I need to review the manual.

I did it on a GGG Violet Rams kit I built, but the Tomkat site says that's what the "lift" switch does. :thumb:

Was the Wren & Cuff one a CME exclusive? I think I remember that being the case... could be wrong. Didn't ever play one of those, but I love W&C's offerings—I've got a Caprid, a Tall Font and a 47/73. The latter's the most fun one I've come across recently... sort of in the Ram's Head world but a bit nastier. Cuts well, also responds super nicely to the guitar volume knob. Worth snagging if you ever come across one!

The Caprid, 47/73 and Violet World (yes, a CME exclusive) are all Ram's Head variants.

I like The White Elk which sounds sorta in between a Ram's Head and a Triangle.

I can’t speak specifically to a rams head but W&C know their muffs. I have the tall font Russian on my board, as well as a Pharoah and a V4 op amp, and they do a great job of Muff-makin’. They ain’t cheap but I know they do good work and their aesthetic is crucial.

It took me a while to really click considering the volume is not as wild and out of control as my other muffs but I’ve really bonded with it. Without devolving into bad puns, I’m quite a muff lover and love experimenting with different muffs - right now I’m using my op amp on its own and the TFR running into my Pharoah for other things.

If I didn’t own like 4 muffs already (and I wasn’t kind of broke) I would buy a Box of War and an Eye See Pi in a heartbeat.
