Some festival in the Swiss mountains, on the last day, Sunday afternoon, they had these 2 bands on the main stage to close the festival:

Deftones
Gotthard

That was 20 years ago, Deftness were touring with Around the Fur, they were hot and kicking ass.
And Gotthard, well, it's a really shitty Swiss "hard rock band", don't google them.

DUDE! Tomahawk fucking sucks! I agree with that combo. It was the only Tool show I've ever walked out of.

I'd Judas Priest and Ted Nugent was the worst I've been to.

I was into Green Day around the American Idiot period (what 11 year old wasn't?) and I attended a gig with:

Hard Fi *shudder*
Taking Back Sunday *wretch*
Jimmy Eat World *makes the face that you make when you're in public and you smell a particularly bad fart from an unknown ASSaillant*
Green Day

I love Priest...watched a show on TV and I'm good though. Gotta give it to Halford for bringing his chopper with him on tour to bring out on stage (didn't Jerry Glanville or some other football coach in the 1990s insist his Harley had to be in his hotel room?)

We walked out of that Tool show too. Tomahawk was disappointing. I love Mike Patton too. Tomahawk and that Dillenger Escape Plan project weren't for me though. Plus I was dehydrated from walking around in Nomex all day on distillation towers and I had to eat the ticket cost because everyone bailed on me...had to give the ticket to a friend that bitched about how awful tool is the entire time. Haha, I think they knew it was gonna suck.

Oh boy oh boy, I got one.

Went to a show out in SF at the regency ballroom many years back with my girl and her friend that I will forever have in my head as "The Hot Topic Special" tour.

Lineup was:

-some shit "bro as fuck" pop punk band. Lead singer had a trucker hat on backwards. Garbage.
-some screamo band, guitarist had a sick board but still made it sound like ass.
-Attack! Attack!: Ah yes, the beautiful sons of bitches that brought you such classics as "Smokahontas" and "Sexual Man Chocolate".
-Escape the Fate: Minus the original singer so it was ever lamer than before.

Now, this was in 2012 and I was fresh out of high school. So I was sorta into the idea of going. I was actually more there to see ETF play "Situations" and laugh at Attack! Attack!'s corny asses. Ended up leaving liking A!A! more than ETF. A!A! had good energy at least, got to experience my first and second wall of death during their set. So I had fun moshing like an idiot. ETF was boring. The new singer sounded like ass. Left halfway thru their set cause we were bored.

Looking back, it was a fun experience at least. But god damn if that lineup didnt stink of cheesey high school poetry and guyliner. It was a weird time.

I think I was about to graduate HS when that album came out.
...BUT the first "real" concert I ever went to was Jimmy Eat World, Audiovent (anyone remember these guys? lol), Our Lady Peace, & Seether (?). Something like that. I was probably 12 or 13. It was some outdoor fest type show. There have been many great shows since then, with much better bands, but I still had a fucking blast that day :idk: We had to drive/get rides to a bigger city, Columbia I think (I lived in SC at the time) & there was much excite

I went to see Crowbar last night because they're rad but the rest of the lineup was pretty rough. I skipped Twitching Tongues but got there just in time to watch The Acacia Strain play some deathcore bro mosh like it was still 2006. The singer couldn't stay on brand. At one point he was like "I AM A MISERABLE FUCKING HUMAN BEING AND I AM HERE TO INFLICT THAT MISERY ON YOUUUUU!!!!" but a song or two later he's like "Y'know all that matters is that you guys have a good time tonight and leave with some good memories, ok?". Which one is it, my dude? Crowbar was so good though. It was my first time seeing them and I was little unsure what to expect. Some of the live videos I've watched from recent years seemed like Kirk's vocals were pretty shot but he was killing it last night. They played Planets Collide and it was soooo good.

The headliner was Hatebreed.
It's 2018, I'm a grown ass man and what am I doing on a Saturday night?
Watching Hatebreed.
Jamey Jasta is like a square dance caller: "MOVE THE PIT SIDE TO SIDE" "BRING IT IN" "NOW CIRCLE PIT"
I got bored and left after a few songs
