Behringer Deepmind 12 incoming (and available for $649)

Arrived earlier today (had to let it hit room temperature as it was cold after a week+ in transit). NIB as promised by seller.

I'll be figuring out things in it for weeks but I was able to make things that made me happy within minutes.

It definitely reminds me of the 80s Roland etc polys, but can do a lot more and has a very low noise floor (running latest firmware, that's what it came with).

It is not a light thing (15-20 pounds?) but is fairly solidly built Wood side panels are a nice touch. Fan isn't as noisy as people are crying on the net (and it can be turned down or off, it's for stability of the voices if run somewhere with higher temperatures or left on for ages or both) - and is NOT for the "cpu cooling" as claimed by some of the early folks. Keybed isn't the best I've ever used, but it works and is serviceable (on par with mid-range current Roland stuff). LCD screen is legible and usable and PC app fired up instantly - no install, no drivers, no hassle. Knobs feel very solid, sliders are acceptable (versus the old 70s mil-spec stuff, but I'm used to worse on a lot of things).

I certainly do not feel cheated for six bills!

Yea, I'm guessing there's an overstock in the supply chain, saw a photo of a $699 sale on them new at one.
