Yeah that song sucks. They're definitely not 100% good

Part of the Rush appeal, IMO. How many bands out there could drop The Trees with a straight face?

This thread is blasphemy and you are all banned from Canada. We ain't so friendly when you disgrace our greatest export, Rush....

Let's be honest here. Rush is pretty much as cringe worthy of a band as they come, which is a shame because they appear to all be competent musicians.

I won't even lower myself to "debating" this incorrect statement just know one day you'll realize how wrong you were and think shit, I hope that guy on the ILF isn't dead so I can go apologize to him for how wrong I was in 2018

"The Trees" exists for that scene in SLC Punk. Guided by Voices' "I am a Tree" always seemed like an attempt to make it less cringeworthy.
I grew up on Rush. Exit Stage Left was a huge deal for me when I was still in grade school. I fell off right after Counterparts. Other things were permeating, grabbing my attention, and more compelling to me. I was just wondering the other day if 80s Rush primed me for dream pop and shoegaze stuff. Sonically interesting to revisit, but not so much on the lyrics.

Oh yeah, I absolutely love that they just went and did whatever they wanted at every stage of their career. Go Rush.

Not enough stutter/glitch and they know how to play, not for me.
I love Rush.

Synth Rush kicks ass. I've been away from this band for too long. A Farewell to Kings is such a great album. Probably my favorite of theirs.

I believe I will have to relinquish my Canadian citizenship for this, but I agree 100% with this:
