I had to listen to the radio earlier today for the first time in months because my phone died. It definitely blackened my soul. I wish there were a good station around here. There needs to be more stations like KEXP. Actually is KEXP even a good station? I just know they post awesome videos

Anybody ever see the video of the first (only?) Plastic Ono Band performance? Its at some big fest and lennon and the band are doing the same tired shtick and meanwhile Yoko is crawling around under a blanket with a mic shrieking. Its great. She's basically holding a pillow over the face of the beatles going "Shhh go to sleep, go to sleep"
The foo fighters' music doesn't do anything for me but I'm glad Pat Smear has a steady gig. I met him once and he was a super nice dude.

Dave is an amazing human being. I can see people thinking they are overrated but that dude is legit as fuck and I respect the hell out of him.

I only listen to it when I'm driving and I hit a dead spot where my satellite radio doesn't work. It was a dark time.

Most of Yoko's music/art involves her dressing like a toddler and screaming/shrieking into a microphone while telling people who are annoyed by it that they just don't understand how "deep" it is.

I'm with you. I grew up watching him play in the DC/Nova scene. Even as 16 year old you could tell the guy was going somewhere.

I saw the Foo Fighters once with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and it was the best show I've probably ever been to. Dave is just fucking real. He's funny, genuine and doesn't seem to let all the fame go to his head to the point of being a huge prick. I'll always be a fan. I may not like every song he comes out with but I like the dude and have a huge nostalgia for his music.

Anybody remember PROBOT? That's was a cool project. I thought Sonic Highway was interesting too, but I usually zoned out or went for a snack during each episode's original Foo Fighters song.
