I have a robot devil, and I have a phantom arcade.. JWAR is correct on both accounts. They both do that kind of octave up fuzz where you can bend and it sounds like aliens probing a goat .. in a good way. They both do so much more too. The phantom arcade let's you use just the octave up circuit like a green ringer as a standalone but with a tone control for it as well.

My favorite octave up fuzzes on bass are the Tone Machine and Boss fz-2, although the fz-2 isn't that harsh. The tone machine is though

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet, but Earthquaker Devices Tentacle is rad!

It's a green ringer.

Fuzzrocious is offering the Octave Jawn digital octave as a drop-in mod to any of their pedals for $100 extra. I'm sure that the Blast Furnace + octave would be aggressively abrasive.

Yeah that was me too, I’ve had a bunch of Fuzzhugger but I should definitely try more. Dwarfcraft was also a consideration, I might hunt down a she fuzz

There's also the Buzzz but I found without the octave on, it loses a little definition.

Copilot Cubic is awesome for suboctaves.

If you wanna get super gnarly and have access to octave up and down plus some intervals, AND if you can find one, Infanem Second Voice is among the gnarliest. Infanem STEP does a great octave fuzz too.
I honestly didn’t like the octave in the STEP at all, I definitely want to try a Second Voice, that’s a PLL right? The Data Corrupter was close to what I wanted but huge.

The Drolo Giant Hogweed is pretty nasty octave up as well. I actually really love that one.

I've been getting pretty sick or Whammy and FV-1 style octave effects... they both sound great, but they're used SO MUCH they're losing the magic they once had. After reading this, I'm feeling pretty inspired to build a green ringer clone and mess with some values to get something real weird :thumb:

I've been messing around with Devi circuits and I found that the vintage fuzz master into the goddess zero (which is the Godzilla) is pretty receptive to PNP substitutions as well. I got good results with a 2N4403, and 2N3905 .. not that the OP would make this, but the Godzilla is still available and has pretty nasty octave too.

There’s one of these in stock at my store and I’ve never bothered to try it out... I’ll have to do that tomorrow.
