I tried to post a lot earlier, but I couldn't manage to post videos from my phone. I bought this album when it came out and I listened to it and like it so much, I never bought or listened to another Low album after it.

"Good Morning, Captain" is one of maybe 5 songs that made me want to pick up a guitar.
Still stands as one of the heaviest tracks I've heard. Their songs tend to evoke intense, visceral emotional response from me.
Seam, too. Especially:

Seam/Slint/that entire era of music was spectacular. Silkworm didn't have much that fit the "slowcore" bill, but every now and then they did and they were a spectacular band. Bottomless Pit were a perfect band, two parts SIlkworm, one part Seam and one part .22.

@Olin - Silkworm is a great band in their own right...and I agree their catalog trends away from this thread...but when it fits
Slow Hands,
Ticket Tulane &
Dont Make Plans This Friday are solid examples, and that's just 1 record.
Slowcorey songs/bands shine brightest late night/rainy day/basement/attic introspective listening, immersive experiences.
Silkworm is generally the type of band I want in jukeboxes or a driving mix, for good times with company.
Firewater as a whole is a fav record for that. Obv slower jams included, but my highlights are
Cannibal Cannibal &
Caricature of a Joke in particular.
