… or maybe the fact that it was recorded in a kickass professional recording studio.

Maxon graphic EQs are a joke anyway.

Thank you, I was wondering if anybody commenting besides friendship even watched it.

Appreciated the post, Chank, it was definitely a cool video. Would love to see more footage of the performance in the future.
Thank you! You've saved my Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Yeah, I'd like to hear more of people playing 'em as well.

Bands have to make money somehow, right?

Those shitty clones are for their fans.
Anyway, the video is about Stompbox Sonic. It was just shot by Kurt and Nate and is on their YouTube demo channel.

“Converge Reptilian Guitar Pedal
The Reptilian is a boosted fuzz pedal inspired by the heavy, yet articulate fuzz tones from Converge’s new album, The Dusk In Us. The circuit, which boasts a unique combination of silicon and mosfet drive elements, was designed by S&K Pedals in close collaboration with Kurt Ballou and features acid-etched artwork by Jacob Bannon.“

I mean, isn't everything a clone anyway?
So, is there like an original video that just showcases them playing the pedals?

Yes, everything's a clone.
IDK if there's a video of just the performances. I'm subscribed to the Demo Vids channel and that's why I saw this one.
Here's the Stompbox Sonic blog post about it though:

Don't know if they intend to make more videos of the footage. You could always ask 'em.

That metal guitar like thing looked interesting. I'd like to see more of that. I liked Kurt's sweet stache too.
Also I thought the pedals they were selling on tour were pre built brutalists.

Some of them are. They've been selling a bunch of different stuff on tours.

That metal guitar was built by Jason Sanford. Look for stuff with his band Neptune.

They should have a tattoo artist set up a booth at their shows so they can finally get royalties for all those jane doe tattoos.

They were selling pedals way before that one came along. There was even a video where they joked about the switch of one not working properly. I have nothing against Kurt Ballou selling pedals he's made on the Converge merch stand, I just think 200 dollars is taking the piss a bit.

That I'd kinda agree with, but touring is expensive… and merch is, sadly, where touring bands make a lot of their money.

Did not expect this thread to be so negative about a goof of a video. They're having fun.

There's nothing to understand. It's just 200 pedals.
