^^^WERCKMEISTER isn't a movie I watch...kind of like ANDREI RUBLEV or STALKER or HARD TO BE A GOD...it's a place I go to (sorry for the pretentiousness, not my intention).

Idk this was rated and marketed for adults in England, dunno about here but it certainly wasn't aimed at chilidren, even if it was a lot of the original Danish fairytales were ten times darker without an obnoxious, insipid cunt as the "protagonist". Pan was a stupid little piece of shit and I don't think any film has made me madder than that one. One of very few films I just wish I didn't waste the time on and generally regret knowing of its existence.

Sharky, absolutely. Stalker is a perfect film but in a really different way to this thread I think. Unless it's fair to say: "I don't trust them if they don't recognise Tarkovsky as the greatest Russian of the 20th century full stop".
Also the soundtrack for Children of Men was brilliant. Roots Manuva, John Tavener and Krzysztof Penderecki all on the same level. Great choices.
