BetterOffShred wrote:Alright so I watched the whole thing. And here are my opinions.

The non pedal bits were fun, but a little too long. I liked the sea pizza one, it was pretty funny. I'm also a huge ghost face killa and bays seasoning fan.

I didn't care for the vaping one, but it did have some funny bits.

The part with the producer cursing and bitch slapping Cardigan with the money was pretty funny. It also looks like you guys are filming in somebody's dad's garage. And that's cool. I can dig that.

The song at the end showcasing that dudes nuts in the blue pants was pretty funny as well and passed the Nemesis around on all the audio sources.

So all that being said, are you guys trying to be a legit pedal demo source? Or like a comedy squad that sometimes plays a guitar through a pedal? The demo didn't really show any of the features of the Nemesis, though I did like the overhead view of the pedal and real time adjustments.

If you're trying to be a legit pedal demo group, you have to spend some time with the unit being used in some more conventional context. I'm not saying you have to do freebird covers with every pedal, but showing some of the useful settings for John Q Average is a basic necessity.

Just my opinions. :thumb:
Wow that was very detailed. Thank you. That can of Old Bay is actually signed by Ghostface. We will review these notes and get back to you

Largely unrelated, but are you guys based in Philly? There's a bunch of flyers near my store trying to figure out the identity of the artist responsible for your naked boys on horses painting.

These videos are uniquely tailored to the interests of pedal enthusiasts...forums like ilovefuzz are one of the best places to reach pedal people...if you want it contained to one thread from now on, we can use this one..maybe change the title of the thread to Effects & Pedals Arena Corner Videos...thanks! and sorry about that
This is a community, not a platform for you to get more hits to your uniquely tailored videos.

Not looking to get hits necessarily...it's just that the few people in the world who would be interested in these videos are on forums like this one. and i think they would appreciate the content. so i want to share it.
what about a community is incongruent with sharing videos about a common interest?

if you don't want me to post here anymore i will meditate on it tonight

If you want to contribute here then contribute.
You are totally welcome!
Get involved, make some friends.

Ad-copy statements like "uniquely tailored", and only posting in your own threads is not necessarily what I would call contributing to a community.

But I'm just one voice of many - don't stop just cos I think it is a somewhat parasitic relationship - I just think that ILF shouldn't be a post dump for outsiders.
Become an insider and then spam us!

I would love to become more involved but I'm too busy making guitar pedal demos and then spamming them.

If you want to get involved go for it.
I'm trying to be clear here - there are no hoops to jump through, badges to wear or whatever. ILF is a pretty inclusive place. You seem to love what you do, and you think you have material that other folks here would dig. That's rad.
Dig around the place, get to know some folks, keep posting your vids.
I honestly mean that.

Or not. Do what you like dude!
But if you aren't prepared to accept that a forum is a community and not a form of search engine optimisation then maybe you should at least expect that one or two folks who do invest time in this place react to that.
:idk:

I love the Arena videos. I love the Vape Corner. I love Billy. I love Airy. I love John-Paul. And, Coke Shoulders is the fuckin' man! But, these aren't pedal demos. They're goofs. They are promotion for the Shy Boyz, right? I love Shy Boyz! So, that's cool.

But, goroth is right. I don't think you were even replying to comments about these videos, initially. There is a difference between sharing something amongst buds, that we'd be interested in, and trying to create interest in something we're unaware of through spam.

Y'all if you're not too careful this place is going to be as boring as offsetguitars.com and soon we'll be responding to new threads with "um, did you use the search function????"

I say let them post the damn videos however they want.
