Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. I am intrigued by the Digidelay. I used to have their envelope filter, and I enjoyed the hell outta it (why did I ever sell that??).
I will have to check out some Digidelay demos...

If so, there's one in the BST.
Yes it does
Never mind the timefactor pick up the 600D
Seriously. I came in here to post about how nice the Tonal Recall RKM is. But now that I know a 600D’s popped up, I have to agree. Get The 600D. It sounds better than any delay you’ve ever used. Trust me.
If you absolutely NEED tap tempo or modulation, you might want to check out something else. But there’s nothing out there that sounds as good as the 600D

So much this, as long as you can say to yourself "fuck trails!".
Rad pedal, and you can set it on the point of oscillation and just play over top if you want. It's rad and works great in a full band mix and in the studio.

Hi there. I'm the guy selling the 600d, and your comments make me wanna keep it ah ah! It truly does a great job with long, controllable washes. It's a serious option. I have a Meet Maude that I love, but the repeats can melt really fast, sometimes it sounds more like a strange reverb than a regular delay (diggin'it!). I think that stuff from Mattoverse should also be considered in your quest.

That Malekko looks v. tasty.

However, it looks like it only trails in stereo mode
Could I use a Y-splitter to get trails when I bypass the pedal? As in setting the second output for Wet using both outputs to send signal to my amp?

Digitech Obscura to add another cheap option.
Memory Lane Jr, won't get crazy though.
DOD Rubberneck is pretty quick to dial in and can get weird.
Another washy analog, Malekko 616 Dark. No trails though... I think.

I like the MXR carbon copy, it sounds great with the modulation cranked but also little bit boring but it gets the job done. It's lush. I also had a timefactor but I found it overkill but the tape setting on it sure sounded great and the looper on it rules.

Cheap: Obscura (cheap)
Less cheap: Rubberneck or Supa puss.
Does the EQD Space Spiral do trails? What about the SD Vapor Trail? The latter has pretty cool specs considering the moderate size as well as price

The effects loop for one, should open the door to a lot of experiments with textures and layers, beyonde what any affordable non- fx loop'd delay pedlol could do. Another argument in favor of the rubberneck as well

Well, trails or no trails, I am in a dialog with Christophe re: my potential purchase of his E600d. I think he just has to decide if he still wants to give it up or not lol. Thanks for the recommendations, folks!
