Mike Ness...

Incredibly sentimental for me...

But "Ball and Chain" always gets me.

@friendship Roy is known as "The Voice" for good reason. I did consider Only The Lonely for my op.
His final recordings w/The Traveling Wilburys defy time. Singing 30+ years professionally and still had it like it was fresh.
Not Alone Anymore is def thread appropriate.

I mean the versatility alone means you could be in a LOT of different bands

Good point :snax:
Think I feel the same way about Levi Stubbs. I remember hearing an interview on The Motown Story where he describes himself to the effect, "I never really considered myself a singer....I think I'm more of a stylist of sorts" and wonder what would have been if he came along 20 years later, when alt music styles began finding their stride.

Yeah thats an interesting talent and a game changer.
Versatility but a strong sense of vocal identity.
My favourite aspect of the Dev's singing is his strength, though.
He just makes those massive holds at the crossover between head and chest seem effortless.

This will be an unpopular opinion, but I also love Phil Anselmo's singing on the 3rd Down album.
Say what you will about Phil, there is some pretty rad pipework on that record.
