That's the first mod I'll do to it. Then I'll make some skramz tunes and will sell it to get my $13 profit.

If you sell it to a sucker like me on Ebay, you will make a $26 profit (I literally paid $35 for this thing. Just checked my Gmail).

Maybe I'll send it to our friend Billy and I'll be fine with a 10% of the final price.

Oh great 'The Velvet Hammer', I am a huge fan of your work. Thank you so much for your service.

But in this case, I think the thread title derives from friendly competition. Bossman paid $22 for his Metal Zone and publicized his great deal (taking the 'boutique' context of that thread out of the picture, it really is a good deal in and of itself, cause I paid $35 for mine) and Tremolo3 only paid $9. I re-read this thread and nobody said anything disparaging about Bossman. This is more a of a 'Metal Zone' joke thread which, as we are all aware, this pedal has been the source of humor from pretty much the first day it hit retailers (I mean, I like the pedal but that's not saying much).

So while Bossman is in the title, it is not a bully thread indicative of his being or sentiments, rather, the dark nature of capitalism.

Just some thoughts...again, thank you for your service.

This is actually a pro-Bossman's point thread (at least when it comes to comparing some expensive boutique vs cheap and "shitty" gear), and just like Shark said, a joke about the MT-2, because every time is a good time to make fun of the mighty Metal Zone.

I'm quite able to grasp what the thread is about, however, for a member that has had more than his fair share of shit thrown his way since he joined for his opinions, do you not consider the fact that a call out of his name is no better or worse than shouting it from across a street as you and your friends laugh and that maybe he might not see it the same way as you?

Once you guys all play nice and it truly comes across as comradery, I wont have to worry.

Why is the hammer a separate account?

Yeah, I guess title might sound offensive, specially coming from someone who doesn't like that guy, but I swear I'm not a talk bass user so I don't know (or care) what his background is.

Accepted, The Velvet Hammer can't keep eyes on everyone, so it must treat all as equals, The Velvet Hammer only wants peace on the forum.

Maybe I'm not reading this correctly but I liken this thread to the 'How do you like them apples?' scene in GOOD WILL HUNTING, than I do ganging up on someone.

For Context (I'm sure you have seen the movie but if you haven't it is 100% worth your time. The movie is a masterpiece and has an awesome Elliot Smith soundtrack [RIP Elliot  ]):

You have someone who flaunted attaining an attribute/material item (in the case of the movie 'intelligence', in the thread 'a pedal'). In the context of the actual thread even though I don't think Bossman was wrong about the pedals sounding similar (also agree with Tremolo). So aside from the confrontation of the scene and banter of the thread, I liken Tremolo to a sexy Matt Damon who says, "Oh you got it for $22, I got it for $9". Entirely harmless. And 'Yes' it is a callout because Bossman made it a call out (look at the title of that old "famous" thread)

So I don't disagree that Bossman has been an unwarranted easy target, but I also don't think banning people in this particular thread is warranted/would solve anything. Call out threads are made every so ofter here and if anything promote camaraderie.

[Preface: You did not do this] Also, humor evolves and creates whole new contexts so to say '$22' and 'Soy Boy' is insulting to Bossman (again you did not say this Hammer but this is for my argument) is not correct because '$22' has become a signifier of 'flaunting'/'lunacy'/'arbitrary amount' and 'Soy Boy' is an intrinsically funny combination of words. So if people are worried about camaraderie, let's maybe not get hung up about one person who who connotes/internalizes these words differently from a mass.

Jesus Christ, I'm talkative tonight
