Rhythm!

I'm re-listening to Colonial Patterns by Huerco S this morning and thought this would be cool to share. This track has a 4/5/6 polyrhythm going on for the percussion and the melody does a shifting half-time/double-time thing. The polyrhythm isn't nearly crazy but it's pretty easy to discern and hear what those integers sound like in a fairly musical context. Like a lot of tracks on this album, the feel of it depends on what phrase you are perceiving as the dominant phrase. Cool shiiiiit.
