There is a lot to be said about those unruly distortions on Digitech multi effects...not good things but I liked them.
I feel like I got a lot out of this.

I may have to dust it off and try to get some toanz from this wonderful album...

I'm not sure how old they are, but Line 6 Uber Metals are pretty trashy. That was my first distortion pedal, transistors in your ears for days.

I've got a Trash Master but I don't use it very much. The sound it produces is very compressed, I recall, and boosts the bass frequencies. I've read previously that the circuit has some affinities with the HM-2.

I recall the DOD Classic Fuzz being pretty cool. Wish I would have spent more time with it in retrospect.

Never played one, but what about the Danelectro Black Licorice? I absolutely never see that pedal get brought up, anywhere.

Yeah that reminds me, I wanna check one of these out:

Because I like black things, paisley, metal and distortion.
Seems legit.

Found one of these laying around in a studio a couple of years ago. From what I remember it sounded pretty cool. Made my Bari tele with vintage-ish pickups sound like a metal beast!

Hmmm...Never heard of that one before. Overly gainy, unnecessarily loud, annoying and noisy...Just what I was looking for :excellent:

Found just one YT clip though, I'm guessing these might be harder to come by than the Fabtone, no? :idk:

What's the story with the Fabtone? Is it based on something familiar?

The FX52 is among a handful of pedals that I've owned twice. The Classic Fuzz sounds especially nasty (in a good way) in the upper range of its tone control.

I wish Digitech would release a new multi-mode analog DOD pedal based on the majority of their FX series dirtboxes.

A friend of mine had the Fabtone cause he loves Mogwai and they apparently use it but it was always feedbacking when used at loud volumes.

Miss the HM-2 I had. I have the Behringer FZ-2 clone.

I had one of these back in the day and it was great through my Ampeg V4:

Yeah I haven't found one fo sale yet and I've never come across one in the wild.
Looks like it has potential, for sure.

When I worked at guitar center I would do this kind of shit all the time. One time an old white dude told me he would pay me to stop playing.
