That's a firm 'no' on short-sleeve oxfords.

I mean I wear a suit or the equivalent pretty much every day, but I feel way more punk rock in elbow patches and wool pants than in a fucken dry-fit golf shirt. Yes, I realize that sounds ridiculous.

I don't get worked up about clothes because I usually get to wear what I want; I do get worked up when I wear shit with logos that aren't bands'. If you don't get worked up about clothes it's probably because you're not subjected to inane dress codes (DOSS).

Also, polo shirts are straight-up unflattering. No structure, not much coverage, limp-ass collars, stupid long tails that serve no purpose, uncomfortable synthetic fabrics...ultimate dadwear.

You do realize that you can get polos at other places than Sears right?

And yes to the logo thing, except if it's a little woven one on your chest or a a little red one (sometimes black) on your butt. Big fucking swooshes can go anywhere.

wut about hawaiian shirts? Are those acceptable? I like to give the impression that I'm on vacation wherever I go, so I pretty much wear only sandals, board shorts, and a Hawaiian shirt with the patented "half tuck" (the front is tucked in, but pulled up to the very edge so that it covers the belt region & hides its tucked-ness while the back hangs freely) year-round.

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Woah. I'm all about the short sleeve oxford. Pump the brakes on dismissing them. In my line of work (barista) it's the only way to look halfway decent without my sleeves getting disgusting. Also, it's way too hot here pretty much year round for long sleeve shirts.

Also, the Fred Perry or Ben Sherman polo is such a staple, how do you diss it? I mean, I can't wear one because I feel ridiculous, but it's like dismissing the brand Chuck Taylor?

Man, when I was a kid, if you even mentioned Fred Perry or Been Sherman, you were about to join the skins or sharps on the way to your final destination San Diego haircut (and a girlfriend and saying, "I just mail ordered the new Joan of Arc").

Ben Davis though...

Polos were invented so middle managers could inflict a communal pain on the office. Just like pleated khakis...now everyone looks like they're wearing a diaper.

but whose staple?
and what are they stapling together? :whoa:

I'm either tshirt OR buttoned shirt.
And with a shirt it's mostly long sleeves that i like to roll up a bit.
Might be as horrendous to some as the polo is to others
but that's how I.... roll
